hello there. i stumbled on this thread couple of times and have to say you have interesting idea here. do you wager this plays or just paper work? i have some additional questions:

1) did you try to use this little system of yours to WTA? i think that today you have 2 or 3 seeded players to be underdogs.
2) is there any filter to use? bookies make seeded players to be underdogs if they struggled in last match or if they have negative rate with their opponent.

maybe will have some additional questions

brko,im just testing this blindly and not playing the plays,that would not be a smart betting strategy.there are no filters,obviously like you said the bookies make them dogs for a reason,whether bad form or record on a certain surface im sure applies.Im sure a filter system could be used.But im not right now.

I actually went back and checked(dont have records anymore) for the WTA in 2009 and I got through I think 1/2 to 3/4 of the season but the record was so horrible i stopped.I just think the mens tour is just so much more competitive,especially in these ATP 250 and 500 tourneys.Other people on this forum dont think a tennis betting system is possible,but I repectfully disagree

I thought about doing something like this for the challenger tour,and still might back test something,but with 150 tourneys all around the planet would be a monumental task just to check 1 year.

Melzer is a nice price, but he's nowhere near Nalbandian's level on dirt. If you look at Melzer's history on clay against the better players on the surface, he normally gets wiped out. I know Nalbandian's fitness is everyone's concern, but I think early in a tournament when he's had a few days of rest ... he should be fine. Melzer will make him work some I think, but I think Nalbandian will win.
