Nice writeups again. I like Simon tonight to beat Sock, I am on that, and I took Murray ML in a few pretty good sized parlays that I expect to cash. I was on Agut earlier, as I really felt Tsonga was quite fortunate to have beaten Zverev last night. I watched almost that entire match pretty closely, and I felt that I was watching a Tsonga that was clearly past his prime. If they played again tonight, I'd be on A. Zverev big. Anyway, good luck with Gilles, I may put a little more on him parlayed w Andy, and I hope Andy covers the 5 games for you.

Oh boy. I bet someone's not happy right now hahaha. I just strapped myself in and backed myself with the last two. I've been really happy with my thinking and tipping, so I had a bit of confidence that the last two would pull through.

Nice call on Agut man! If it was any other tournament than Shanghai, I would've been with you. I just thought that the points would be a massive incentive.

Glad that Tsonga and Murray both pulled me back to give me +0.2 on the Shanghai Mens but I lost a bit on challengers today. Hopefully Giannessi rolls with his impressive form lately.

Cant believe you went for Djokovik's handicaps after his last 2 matches....even though he played considerably much better today than against Zverev. Credit to Agut certainly....he could easily gone out mentally....with all the Djokers tricks (racket breaking, shirt tearing and match point saving) he did stood his ground....
Unlucky with Murray of course....he had him in the second 5-1 serving for the match.

Re. Djokovic, I just thought that he'd pull it out. He's the best player in thgeg world by a country mile when he's on, and usually when he has a tough match early in the tournament, he raises his level. It's like a wake up call, i.e. you can't be so casual. Clearly he couldn't raise his level enough.

Murray just f*cks me off hey, nothing annoys me more than that.

Mahut has a game really well suited to these courts. His serve is hard and flat, and he has probably the best set of hands at the net on the tour. His backhand slice will skid off the deck, making life hard for Schwartzman, who grew up playing on slower surfaces. Diego's forehand naturally has more topspin, whereas Mahut's ability to flatten his out means he can take time away from his opposition. Confident the Frenchman can cover here.

Last couple of tips for the year before I turn my attention to the cricket.

ATP PARIS

- Karlovic +2.5 games - $1.9 - ONE STAKE

More than happy to take a +2.5 game handicap anytime Karlovic is involved, for obvious reasons. He actually leads the head to head record 2-1 on actual tour matches (all hard court). Cilic has just come off a tournament win in Basel, but as we saw with Kyrgios and then Agut, that doesn't always mean they're a sure thing going into the next week. Karlovic is just enjoying playing now, and all the pressure will be on Cilic. I think Ivo will go out there relaxed, and start bombing serves.

- Muller +4.5 games - $2 - ONE STAKE

I think this is the first time I've actively gone against Djokovic in a line bet all year. I generally don't like doing it, but like I always say - never say never. Novak traditionally struggles against the big-servers, and Muller is definitely that. His game suits indoor hard and with the form he's in and the troubles the Serbian has had recently, he'll think he has a chance of knocking him off. Could we see another Vesely moment?

- Simon to WIN - $1.7 - TWO STAKES

The French generally do really well at French events, because of the home support factor. Watch any highlights involving a French player from the first two nights, and everytime they win a point, the crowd goes absolutely nuts. Agut has had a rough couple of weeks, and Simon has been in good form for the last month. I think at home, at this event, Simon should be winning.

- Tsonga x Pouille - $1.8 - ONE STAKE

Same thing here - two French players that'll have the boost of the crowd support.

- Ferrer to WIN - $2 - TWO STAKES

I don't care how out of form Ferrer seems - he should not be $2 against this lumbering oaf. The Spaniard is good enough to just bide his time, pick the serves to attack and outrally the American. Watch for pinpoint passing shots whenever Isner gives Ferrer anytime at all on the approach shot.
