Liking the preview on all the matches but especially that of the Young-Dolgo match. Agreed with everything and think Young @2.3 is a decent shot.

Also when Lu lost to Ramos, it was due to the fact that he played in Chennai and only made it into Auckland on the day that he played Monaco. He looks dead in that match so was surprised he won but Ramos took care of business the next day. I think Lu's aggressive ground shots will take care of Mannarino much like how Young's aggressive play took down Mannarino in Memphis.

Yeah I really thought Mannarino would be gone at this point, but he's served well this week and that's been good enough against mediocre competition. All the matches tomorrow look pretty tough overall. I'm kind of waiting to see if the lines move any + what the tips look like for the public before deciding. Mostly just hoping Johnson wins to keep my future alive! Good luck to ya.

FEDERER QUARTER
Federer definitely has the toughest quarter of the top four seeds. He does have a great history in Dubai with trips to the Finals in four straight years and a title in two of those years. He opens against Youzhny who is 0-16 against Federer. A win would pit him against either Verdasco or Garcia-Lopez. Verdasco leads the all-time battles between the two Spaniards, 4-1. Garcia-Lopez has been off to the better start this year with a title in Zagreb to go along with a 4th round trip at the Australian Open. He’s never won in Dubai before, while Verdasco hasn’t played here since 2008. Give Garcia-Lopez the nod in that one. The seed opposite Federer is Bautista-Agut who will play Dominic Thiem for the third time already in 2015. He beat hm in four sets in Australia and again last week in straights in Marseille. It’s hard to see anything but a Bautista-Agut victory. The other first round match pits Gasquet against Seppi. Gasquet has beaten Seppi four of five times, including this year at the Australian Open.

Although there are pitfalls for Federer in this quarter, he’s still the guy to beat and I think pretty likely to be able to work through this quarter still. His numbers vs. most of the field in this quarter are heavily in his favor. His success here, 42-5, and the bitter taste still in his mouth from losing to Seppi at the Australian Open should fuel him this week. The draw should favor him into the Final if he can bring consistency to the courts. That’s not always a given for Federer at his age now, but I think he’ll have enough for a deep run.

Ivo has been doubling like crazy too, handing him points. But in DY's defense, he can't even get a racket on most of Ivo's serves, especially his 2nd serve. Ivo just too good with that serve in big spots
