Maybe to take a set, but if Anderson serves how he has been so far - it's going to mean DY has to match him game for game with few chances to break, while Young still usually provides chances for the opposition.

Lost a unit on Sao Paulo, but taking Wawrinka @ +100 for 1.0 unit. If Wawarinka wins, take 0.5 profit. If Berdych cashes, take 1.75. If it was London at the end of the year, I'd probably hedge more on Wawrinka - but here I think Berdych can win on a surface I still think favors him more.Comment -

#678Eh, anything is possible in this one as Nishikori has been far from convincing, but Anderson in Finals isn't always a great proposition. Just hoping for a big serving day that will give him a shot to at least snag a set.Comment -

Kei Nishikori, the No. 10 seed at the U.S. Open, says he does not know whether he is fit to play following surgery to remove a cyst in his right foot. #686Blog has a Delray Beach preview up for anyone so inclined as to read it. Twitter me for more, here's a blurb.
ATP Delray Beach
2012 Champion Kevin Anderson leads the way as the top seed at Delray Beach this week. John Isner, who has made three straight semifinals at Delray Beach, is seeded 2nd. Dolgopolov, Karlovic, Mannarino, Querrey, S.Johnson and Troicki round out the top eight seeds. The top seeds have not been in the title mix at this tournament over the course of its history. The top seed has not won at Delray Beach since Mardy Fish took the title in 2009. Six of the last 12 Finalists in this tournament have been either qualifiers or nonseeds
ANDERSON QUARTER
Anderson should ease into his home tournament after a solid showing in Memphis last week. This draw could see a replica of Memphis from a week ago as Sam Groth and Yen Hsun-Lu play for the right to meet Anderson should he prevail in the opening round. That's what we saw in Memphis where Groth rolled over Lu and then was taken out by Anderson in straights. Mannarino is the other seed on the bottom of this quarter. After a hot start making the Final in Auckland, Mannarino gone just 1-3 since the Auckland Final with first round losses in his last two tournaments. He's a prime upset victim in my mind depending on the match-up with a qualifier. The other match in this part of the quarter is Denis Kudla vs. Lukas Lacko. Slight edge to Kudla as Lacko has not tasted winning much so far in 2015.
Overall, Anderson should have every reason to expect another run this week with a pretty pedestrian draw.Comment -

#687And bloggin' about Marseille as well. Again much obliged if you give the blog a look-see, here's a blurb.
ATP Marseille
The indoor action continues this week in Marseille. Rotterdam Champion Stan Wawrinka is seeded 2nd in this tournament with Milos Raonic the top seed. Gulbis, Bautista-Agut, Simon, Goffin, Monfils and Rosol round out the rest of the top eight seeds. Gulbis is your defending Champion. Champions for this tournament mostly come from the seeded player pool. In the past five years, nonseeds have made the Final a few times. Seeds do fall early in Marseille. In the past five years, nine seeded players have lost their first matches of the tournament.
WAWRINKA QUARTER
This quarter comes down to Wawrinka’s mindset this week. Off a 500-level win and with Dubai ahead, what does he have to gain with a long week in Marseille? Not much really, so it will be interesting to see how he chooses to go this week. Rosol is the seed opposite him and hardly in convincing form. Stakhovsky could upset him in the 1st round. Struff takes on a qualifier in a spot where the qualifier should be looked at as a potential winner. The all-French battle between Mathieu and Paire should be a good one for the right to play Wawrinka. I think the winner of Wawrinka and the Frenchman who advances will likely decide this quarter.Comment -

#689Thanks for checking it out. Appreciate it. Not sure if I am going to play Rio much this week, probably focusing on Marseille and Delray Beach mostly. Clay is hard to predict for me early in the season, especially given some of the guys have been off and some are switching off that indoor stuff at Sao Paolo. Maybe later in the week, but early I'd rather watch and see if there is anything to work off of.Comment -
