Thought Nishi would win this in straights since Nishi's kryptonite is the heat he knows the longer he's out there the more likely his physicality will affect his game. well done matsoevic tho on taking a set off but boy oh boy is he letting nishikori off with his mental breakdowns.

Well done to the aussie boys - both bets now winners. Hewitt you absolute legend cannot never fault ur fighting qualities. the 2nd voids if retirement but doubt that happens.

it's official we've cashed that hewitt over

massive sympathies for hewitt though, came back from 2 sets down and countless breaks of serve only to fall short...

                                                1.5* Nadal vs Dimitrov - Sets Total - 4 Set Match @ 3.50

Game total at 35.5, I personally think it goes over but I also don't think we see a repeat of that nishikori game where all the 3 sets were 7-5 or 7-6. So if this does go over, I have to think that it goes more than 3 sets. However, I don't see this match going past 4 sets especially since this is Dimitrov's first grand slam quarter final. Each of their past 3 h2h matches have gone 3 sets and I see no reason Dimitrov won't take a set off here. I see Nadal winning this in 4 sets. We're going for more value but a lower percentage play so fingers crossed the extra risk pays off.

this was essentially fed's last chance to beat nadal given's nadal's blistered hand and fed's still found belief. In the first set, it looked like a new fed but as the match grew on nadal's strategy of hitting to fed's backhand again proved to be the killer blow. don't get wrong, fed played a pretty amazing match but nadal match-up wise was just too much for the swiss to handle. no regrets making this bet cause I've already made a big profit from this tournament but was worth a shot, cause after tonight i don't think fed will ever beat nadal in a big tournament before he calls it quits.

I think Federror played an absolutely terrible match. His game-plan was to engage in drawn-out rallies from the baseline (which he lost 90 % of the time) and to approach the net for volleys on pathetic shots which allowed Nadal to hit an easy winner (or a hard shot back resulting in a volley into the net). On top of all that he also executed his actual game like shit and was Federror reborn today. Clearly Nadal has his balls in a vice-grip at this point.

I am pissed I didn't go all in on Nadal as was my inital thought, but the line in conjunction with my gut feeling stayed me off it. Fedderror certainly didn't fail to disappoint though!

He really changed his game up to pose more problems for nadal but it's just that amount of topspin that nadal puts in targeting fed's backhand which fed continues to have no answer to. reason why fed has won all his matches up until last night: no one can hit that sort of topspin. If we talk statistically think there was a difference in 30cm in height of ball bounce between Nadal and the other opponents Fed has faced this yr at the aussie open! Well yes Fed's backhands did let him down big time but what can you do when a guy like nadal is continually hitting massive topspin loopy shots to your backhand? and the more you try to cover your backhand the more open you leave the court for nadal to bust you on the other side of the court.

all in all, kudos to nadal for being fed's kryptonite for all these years.

I'll take the experience here in straights. Yes Cibulkova has destroyed her opponents as underdogs but Li has looked as good as I've seen her and she's physically 100% and is into her 3rd grand slam final. 3rd time's a charm for Na Li!
1st set was tight but never really the match result was never really in doubt. good, solid winner there. will be back with the men's tomorrow night so stay tuned. been a really aussie open for me this year.
