I really just need to make myself a note everyday to play what I mark first and then quit looking. Seems to be the rut I go into. Eesh.

#703Volandri is like the only guy who can play a 3 setter and barely push a total of 22. Been said a lot before, but that guy might be the dirtiest player left on tour. You can't play that many 6-0, 6-1 sets like he does in 3 setters without someone profiting.Comment -

#704I seem to see it a lot from him... Do you think he does it on purpose? Or does he just have the emotions of a chick. It's painful to watchComment -

#705I firmly believe that he's still a not so under-the-radar match/set fixer. Maybe one of the best set fixers of all-time.
His name comes up plenty if you Google match fixing stories. He to me is one of the more skilled guys in that aspect if he's continually doing it. I don't think it's necessarily for the ML markets either, but maybe more in the set betting or match totals. Imagine the odds you get in-match after he loses 6-0 in the 1st set for him to win the next set. Or how low your match total would be after a six game first set and then it goes 3 sets or the odds on Busta winning 2-1 that probably go real high after he looks to be in total control after one set ... lots of ways to manipulate markets that we never think of. Most people think of match fixing simply in winners and losers outright, but there's a helluva lot more bullshit from set to set that they can get away with that does not raise as big a stink IMO.Comment -

#707Yeah the only time I really think he might effort is when he plays at home in Italy, but I think there are plenty of sketchy results for him there too probably if you look.Comment -

#708Any thoughts on Simon -285 v Gicquel, EP or anyone? Even considering Gicquel favors the surface, and got the better of Simon in some 2004-2005 matches mainly on hard (often indoor), that was a different time in both their careers. Its also early rounds, but Simon is defending at least QF points here. Seems like Simon wins this more than -285 suggests, considering parlaying with another.Comment -

#709The points don't mean much, it's only one round of play he is defending since he starts in the Round of 16 and the next round is the QFs. Remember it's just a 250 too, so the points are really not a big deal.Comment -

#710Yea I know. IDK its prolly a fair price but I'm goin stir-crazy, not seeing anything worth playing. Parlayed it with fogs. Not sure I've got the best of it at -130 for early rounds, 2 matches.Comment -

#716Perils of the parlay. Loved Nieminen, but had to dig for a partner to parlay. Don't know why I don't just skip plays when it takes that long to find something. Usually means there is nothing worthwhile. Just say 0-3. Kavcic will choke.
Even sillier is I had Davydenko to think about as a dog, but as usual didn't trust it and voila ... he wins.
Think I'll just be quitting for a while. Ruts like this are not conducive to good things.Comment -

#720Ruts like this every year in betting, especially in tennis. Makes them no less painful. Probably need to get back to my previews on tournaments. Seems to help me see things a shade better, but a lot of times it's just dumb luck or a lack of luck that kills you.Comment -

#723Suck it professor. Chokes always make me sad. To get burned on the same player twice in a row adds to the feeble feeling. I'm only a bitch during extended losing streaks. Unfortunately, me and those have become too common a friend.Comment -
