That label is always misleading. Even before he won his first Slam last year, he made it deep at the Slams. The "choke" came in Finals situations.

Best surface for him. Really if his health holds up, no reason he won't be in the Finals. He broke through to get there last year, so that step is not daunting. No Nadal. No Federer. Complacency would be the worst thing, but I think still wanting to win this Slam in particular drives him after last year.

Can't attribute it to the surface really. If the surface really is worse/slippery, it is so for both players. If anything it should help the more experienced and better players because they would be able to adjust better.

Injuries I think is surface-related. Nadal and Federer losing, nothing to do with that. Got beat by a better player on that day.
