i have had a betonline account for a little while now. i have built my backroll up pretty good. when i logged into my account this morning it said available balance $0.00. I thought since they just switched from .com to .ag it was a software issue. i called the customer service rep and asked why my account was at 0. he told me that i had transfered it over to poker and lost it all. i did not transfer this money over to poker nor did i lose this amount at a poker table. i have requested the ip address and hand history. i have not gotten that. i did play earlier that night with about $70 and lost it. they told me the transfers were at 12:40am. i stopped playing around 10:30pm the night before and went to bed around 11:30pm. i need to get this ip history from them to show that it was not me. if they look at the ip address from the time i was playing and then check the ip address after the money was transfered over it will not be the same. there is no way that this was done from my comp. they keep telling me it was someone from my house on my comp but that is not possible. i also asked them to look at my history in poker to see that i play small limits very little. this money that was lost was several thousand dollars. how does a guy go from playing once or twice a week for $50-$150 to several thousand in 1 night. who can i contact to help me out with this?

#4Hi justwin,
There's usually not much that can be done here. The industry standard when a player claims his account has been hacked is the book will share the IP address with the player. It's been our experience these cases are explained by either a simple password, a roommate, spouse, friend, or even the bettor himself unfortunately.
You can submit this form so we can ensure the required details are shared with you, and perhaps more light can be shed as to the source of the breach.Comment -

However, unless there was chip dumping, I don't think you will get your money back. If there was dumping though, the hand history will show that. In that scenario, I would ask Betonline to undo those poker transactions.Comment -

In the meantime, change your PWs and make sure you don't use the same passwords at any two books or any two online accts at all. We've seen players use their forum name as their sportsbook password.
How much exactly did you have in your account before the later poker session?Comment -

#13I hate places where you ask for a withdrawal and it sits pending in your acct for days..ridiculous....just a scumbag slow play tactic on their part hoping you bet it back...I always prefer a book that deducts the withdrawal from your acct quickly, regardless of the day they actually send it out.Comment -

#18Pretty sure bet online is the type of operation that looks to avoid paying people ESP newcomers with all sorts of tactics...95% of the people that bet offshore prob have no idea sbr exists so they prob have very little venue for recourse..and bet online knows this..they are thieves that will always try to avoid paying unless they have to...won't be surprised when you ultimately get paid cause there was no wrongdoing on your part and they can't find a way to pin it on you.Comment -

#19Some poker rooms have ways of telling where the play was from besides the IP. Most players don't know that. Some scammers will use a different IP and if they lose, call foul, hacking. I'm not suggesting this is the case for you but give BetOnline some time to research it.
In the meantime, change your PWs and make sure you don't use the same passwords at any two books or any two online accts at all. We've seen players use their forum name as their sportsbook password.
How much exactly did you have in your account before the later poker session?who might be hundreds or even thousands of miles away to play higher stake games using their account # and pw, and if he hits a bad run of cards just claim account was hacked.

#20I am sure they get complaints like this often. I just wish they would handle it better. I honestly was not the 1 playing when this money was lost, nor did anyone I know or am affiliated with. I have asked them for ip info and hand history. I want to see if any 1 or 2 players ended up winning this money, or if they sat down at a 2 person table and gave it away to someone they know. It may be obvious that there was a chip dump or something like that. They have still not responded back to me or sent any hand history, or ip info. You would think they would send that right over to try and clear this up. I guess I will wait until tomorrow and see what happens. I am very surprised though that I have heard nothing.Comment -

- The IP address that logged into BetOnline and initiated the poker transfer has only ever been associated with your account.
- You have had three different IP addresses access the poker client in your account lifetime, but the IP address that logged in and initiated the poker transfer has been used the majority of the time on your account since July 31st, 2011.
At this point, we're waiting for an audit of the accounts that the balance was lost to.... but so far, the available facts just don't point to outside intrusion.
In addition, as you've acknowledged in your claim, someone else was in your home with you at the time. For some reason, that wasn't included in your post here or the PMs you sent?
Management assumed when you filed the complaint, you wanted SBR to assist? We've given you every update we have at this point.... low-level customer service doesn't have anything new to share with you.Comment -

#32I hope when they do come back with this complete audit they explain why they said the ip this happened from originally was from the ip that i use the most yet the ip they sent me that they claimed was mine was in a different state than what i live in or than my mailing adddress. its not the ip from my house..... u can look up the ips i have used here since 2010 and see that i have never used that ip. time will tell.......Comment -

#34Sounds like you went on tilt and lost all your money and now want it back. Doesn't work that way. Why would you lose so much only after playing a little amount? Easy, you started chasing that 70 dollars you lost. What a degenerate, and I only know your one, cause I am.Comment
