Things not looking good over at BP. They have let go the majority of their staff including their main guy Richard. At least they will have more money now to pay players.

Drew: Hello. How may I assist you?
Anonymous: Hi Drew, I heard on SBR Betphoenix is Laying off all their employees is this true?
Anonymous: Well not all, but it said 90%
Drew: No sir. Currently this is a slow season, so many of our employees are taking personal time off.
Drew: This may be the source of the confusion.
Anonymous: I see, thanks for your time.Comment -

#9I just read his very first post:
Let me first say that I used to work at BetPhoenix. I quit there a few months ago after several delays in getting paid. I was not the only one, lots of other employees got delayed payments and this is still happening now.
During these delays, I know of a few employees who sent emails to SBR about the situation. However, SBR never took down Betphonenix's banner, they didn't care the employees were not getting paid and most importantly if the company went out of business and stiffing their own posters.
All of a sudden since BetPhoenix decided not to pay for advertising anymore, the payouts complaints are hitting the front page of SBR.
There is a serious shortage of cash at Betphonenix, and everyone should be aware of this. But shame on SBR on how they kept taking the money and not saying anything until the cash stopped.Comment -

#12John stfu will ya, SBR taunted this book in an unacceptable way, making them look as if they are almost at the step to A- already.

#16some things i have kept my mouth shut about but will add to this thread.
Betphoenix canceled a $25,000 contest after picks were already submitted for nba finals brackets LOL
Richard might have been let go.. i only say this because Richard hasnt responded to numerous emails I wrote him asking for explanation of the nba cancellation. Finally after bitching I got a message from mike from skybook that said they tried to contact "everyone" in the competition and offer a 50$ freeplay. LOL how come I was never contacted until after I had won $1000 in the contest and had to ask myself???? BS. Was ANYONE CONTACTED HERE??? I smell BS
They have called me over a dozen times in the last two weeks - before this I never got calls
I know someone personally who worked for them for 3 yrs and he has several friends there who have told him that they havent been paid for an entire month.. management keeps making excuse after excuse.. imo they are close to dead in the water, and i dont talk shit about books.
I hope everyone gets paid from there.. I personally have a friend who has 30k there and I have repeatedly asked him to get out and he keeps being blind to the obvious...and doesnt wanna ruin his run, so he continues to bet 2k a game there. I hope he gets paid in full ( I will say this, they have been paying him 2K a week for 6 weeks in a row by check).. but that is a virtual slowpay when u have 30K there.

#17This has nothing to do with taking US players. For shits sake, they were giving the farm away in bonuses, taking forever to pay out, etc.....one big cluster F.

#23Tough crowd. We gave the appropriate rating all along with BP. The owner is a part owner of DIAMOND so we knew his money was sufficient. They brought on a good bookmaker in Fernando and offered a lot of sports. They have a great facility and yea, the potential was there. They never made it to the A group but could have if they would have worked hard. After Fernando passed away this place was never the same. They seemed to not care anymore and it shows.Comment -

Then they began throwing out european players (or just limit them, take away the reduced juice etc etc, which is the same). Then the first slow-pays occured.
Still SBR wouldn't lower the rating, only recently they did.
John says it is because of the connection to DSI. What they completely ignored is that Richard also was involved in Cascade. I would have been so nervous if i had big amounts in this book all the time, i can't tell yaComment -

#31Sad if true. I actually had pretty good experiences dealing with BP (Richard and one customer service rep specifically) even after my limits were cut so low that it made it no longer worthwhile to play there. They even expedited some of my payouts and waived some fees as I was emptying my account earlier this year.Comment -

I'm on good terms with a couple of their employees but since I'm abroad, it'll be tough to get in touch with them. I'll try my best though and get back.Comment -
