And my bank DID send you guys a notice asking for an amendment, but you guys requested the fund to be returned instead. My bank confirmed with me the fund was returned on April 28th, today is May 5th, and you guys still kept saying 'we did not receive the fund back, we don't know where the fund goes, we will only resend you the wire when we receive the fund back'. I couldn't help but thinking maybe it's just a strategy to buy some more time, so that enough commission can be generated or enough deposits can be made to cover the payout? Just like the way to deal with the wrong account number mistake, requesting the fund to be returned instead of providing an amendment.
So Mike, you choose to ignore my question? Today, your withdrawal team person told me on the phone the wire has been confirmed to be on its route back. So now you know for sure you will receive the fund back, why can't you resend the wire to me immediately, if you do have the money on hand to pay and you do put top priority on paying u.s players?? Today is the 70th day since I requested the wire.

I suspect the answer is that they're using processors, not doing the payments directly, so they never had this choice - rather it was taken by whatever intermediary dealt with your wire.

I understand they are using processors , not doing the payments directly. It was me that first pointed out to matchbook this account # error problem, before that, they just kept saying ' the wire has been sent, please wait a couple more days'. What I do not understand is
what happened next. Matchbook contacted their processor with regard to this account # error problem, but without providing a solution, what to do next? It was their processor that made its own decision to recall the wire instead of sending an amendment? Does it make any sense? Matchbook is the brain, processor is just the hand here. Their processor is just following matchbook's instruction to recall the wire.

If you are wating for your money - and cent get straight answers - that doesnt make you a hater!
This whole issue of processors could have be averted if Matchbook had allowed book to book and checks.
But I guess the issue with that would be they would have needed to actually have all the money. Im not sure how Book to Book works, but Im assuming the books have a credit line with each other. But if say.. 5dimes new that they would be sending nothing to MB - and only getting transfers from MB - MB would have to settle up on the funds alot quicker than this slow payout method.

Matchbook Mike, are you here to help with individual cases or just to allay our fears? My slow-pay situation has been going on for over 2 months now. It has been well over 40 business days. This is MY money we are talking about and I want it ASAP. Bodog was able to send me a 5 figure wire in a matter of days, and yes, that was during April.
Is there anyone at Matchbook who could tell me what the status of my payout is? How can I get information? Can I PM you for an update?

Hi KGambler,
I would be happy to look into your individual case or anyone's who is still waiting on a wire.
I can assure you that you are not being slow paid and Matchbook's new owners are extremely well funded and this will become apparent in the near future.
There have been some complications with payment processors that have caused this delay.
Please PM me your details.
King Regards

But he has only been waiting 2 months, so what term is at that you and the extremely well funded new team would call it?
You wouldnt call it processor errors because if he has been waiting 2 months, he was one of the first requests. You don tlike the term slow pay for something that should have taken 21 days.
So what exactly is it?

I never said MB wouldnt pay. Ive always said they had too much to lose. They arent closing - they want to keep up a positive image for the people who will continue to trade there.

They seem to improve nicely, news updated rather often now.
There is a lot of soccer markets now, and spreads are adjusted fast or added (unlike the former MB owners tbh).
I just had 350 bucks matched on german soccer in the middle of the night, to my surprise...nice.
When they get the currencies right, and the word spreads a bit how low comissions are for everyone, this should be a really good place.
I hope non-US ppl give them a chance, personally i can't stand Betfair and they must get some competition.

^^^yep...I love Matchbook's low commission, once they add all currencies and volume goes up they will give Betfair a run for their money. I'm also noticing increased liquidity and a lot more of my offers getting matched.

betfair is gonna get competition from a lower cost shop and then US players will be doubly pissed that we can't play at either one lol
also -- why ban US players from viewing the odds...? Betfair doesn't do that, so what is the purpose behind it?

And that doesnt scare you at all?
In order for an exchange to work properly - the management needs to stay out of the markets. Thus the players money stays separate from the commissions which belong to the company. I cant say 100%, but I feel pretty certain the old management didnt do that - and I dont believe they ever said they would.
Its like that get what you pay for line... And if I had the choice, Id rather have my funds at Betfair.

But you can't prove they are the ones matching my bets. And until someone does I have no problem keeping a large sum of money in Matchbook. I have been paid within 6 hours every time I cash out. Betfair is a great book but unless you have a huge commission discount it's not worth playing there. Might as well just play at Pinny.

I finally got my money out, minus some serious bank fees. Good riddance to Matchbook. I would not play at Matchbook again even if I had the opportunity. They are clearly making the markets, at very low vig. It's only a matter of time until they get wiped out.
