#282Ok, so im having my first "issue" with them. Up to this point all transactions have been flawless, but having trouble with my last transfer. Hoping someone else who has run into thid can help.
So about 24 hours ago I sent btc to load on to the card. The problem is that I mistakenly sent .45663 instead of the .45673 it was asking for. So when the transfer hit minutes later it said "all trans receivrd for less than the requested amount are subject to 6 verifications".
Well ok, we're talking about a few pennies here, but I was like ok maybe it will take an hour or two. Well now it is a day later and still shows as a pending trans. So I called them this morning and they told me they cant see pending trans in the call center and that I have to email. What? Really? Ok so whatever, I email them hours ago and no response.
Anyone else have a similiar experience?Comment -

See how many confirmations it has. It is less than 6 then yes it should still be pending. As I understand it this is outside of their(Bitpay) control. Confirmations are done by the public distributed Bitcoin "system". Once it hits 6 then your Bitpay card should show the amount on your card.
About a 3 weeks ago it took about 6 hours for one of my transactions(not Bitpay related) to get the 3 confirmations. Not sure why its taking this long for you but probably not a huge issue. Just have to wait it out.
I deposited yesterday into Bitpay and it took about 15 minutes to get from pending to "top Up"Comment -

#296I don't have a card but was thinking about getting one. Bitpay told me I can load the card with bitcoins and can take the card to the bank and give them the card and say I want a $4000 cash advance and the bank will give me $4000 cash. Bitpay said there is no fee charged by them for this method. Has anyone done this? Seems easier than a bunch of atm withdrawals that have fees.
I never do cash advances with my normal ************ because there is typically fees and interest but bitpay said no fees or interest would be charged.Comment -

You have to load it with your own bitcoin before the bank will give you anything..Comment -

#298But rather than making four stops at ATMs at 750 a pop for my daily maximum could I just walk into my bank and take the maximum in one shot?Comment -

#300Yes, Bitpay told me I have to load the card with my own bitcoins but then could walk into the bank and tell them I want a $4000 cash advance off the card and there are no fees. Someone please try this and if it is true I will get the card.Comment -

There is no "advance" of cash. Just a normal withdrawal.
Hopefully someone who already has this card will walk into a bank to try this and let us know if the information is correct..Comment -

#304A cash advance is a line of credit. It is totally different than loading a debit card and withdrawing cash off it.

#305Dont know if this is doable. I might try once I receive payout for this week. Easiest option to me is buying Money orders from Wally World at 1000 a pop. Only cost 0.70. Deposit those directly into bank acct. Profit.Comment -

#307Sorry for the late update. yes, after about 36 hours and 3 phone calls it was resolved. I usually do copy and paste, but was unable to at the moment I made that trans. lesson of the story is make sure you are sending the exact amount, as their system doesn't make adjustments.Comment -

#308I am pretty sure you can only buy money orders with cash. That is what they always told me. Also I know if you go to walmart money center you can withdraw up to $1000 a day from prepaid debit cards for only a $3 fee. At least where I live they let me do it.Comment -

#310so now you guys have me interested. i downloaded the app. from what i've read it goes something like this. the card and your wallet are 2 separate things. your wallet is where you buy bit coin and move it to your sports book. when you go to cash out of your book they will send it to your wallet. you can then remove it from your wallet and put it on this card. then you can go to an ATM to withdraw the cash from the card.
am i spot on with this. this way your bank is really never involved.Comment -
