A loss with Toronto today. Nearly every mlb game I have picked have been close, low scoring games until the late innings. I think i'd rather i lost early instead of having to see a team lose the lead in the last 2 innings.

re. the Carlton game, these were my thoughts posted earlier in one of the AFL threads...

I just read this comment in a sportal article, this is from a sportingbet spokesman -

"There has been twice the money on Fremantle to win as there has been on Carlton," he said. "And there has also been a lot of interest on the Dockers to win by 1-39 points (at $2.55)."

Can this comment be trusted? If double the amount of bets are going on Freo, why are odds drifting out against them?

I am already pretty keen on taking Carlton in this one, but if the above is true, then even more so IMO.

Also, Carlton have the speed on Freo, and on such a big ground, they should be able to create plenty of space for themselves. The concern I think, for Blues, is they will miss the speed provided by Yarran, but the introduction of Walker & Garlett should be able to cover this. Sandilands out is going to be a big blow I think. Carlton can win out of the centre and should have plenty of options due to space and their speed.

re. Broncos are in really solid form, with only one loss this season. Titans actually look like a much improved side this, but with only 2 wins to their name so far, that isn't saying too much. Despite Titans getting a win last week, it was against a severely injury depleted Manly. On the other hand, the Broncos are going for their 6th win in a row. I don't expect lowly titans to be much of a match for an in form and consistant Broncos. Brisbane for the win.

Hard to resist Yankees @ 2.10 but I don't think I can bet against Verlander. Unless the stars are in some freakish alignment, Tigers shouldn't need more than three to win, and I feel they can get to Nova for a few. Can't wait to see this one!

Exactly, its not often you get the bombers at plus money at home, and when you do, its always wise to grab it. This could actually be a high scoring game. While I would normally tip Verlander to finish on top in almost any match up, he has struggled throughout his career @ Yankee Stadium and never been too successful against them. And considering Detroit have gone cold as of late, I really like Yankees to win. I'm exepecting a 4-7 type of game...

Yeah, i was leaning Bologna, but I just couldnt trust them tonight. They were really strong and dominated most of 1st half, and then typical Italian madness in the 2nd half.
