Spanish Premier League, Rayo Vallecano (+0.5) @ 1.704 - 1 unit

I see value here in playing the visiting side. Zaragoza are bottom of the table in SPL. Rayo are only 10 points in front of them 15th on the table but have a stronger side. Zara have been poor all season, only 2 wins while Rayo have managed 6, with 3 on the road.

Zaragoza will be pushing for a win to try and move off the bottom of the table, but I see a draw here.

A-League, PERTH GLORY vs GOLD COAST UNITED, Over (2.5) @ 1.85 - 1 unit

Glory is in strong form at the moment, and going for their longest streak without a loss if they can hold to atleast a draw in this game against bottom of the table GCU. It might sound like an easy win for Glory at first look, but Perth only have 1 win against GCU in 7 meetings. This game may not help improve those stats for Glory with Berger, Howarth & Mitchell all out. Only James Brown will be missing from the regular GCU starting XI.

This should open up an opportunity here for GCU to get on the scoreboard and with Perth Glory's regular strikers still relatively healthy, i expect them to be able to fight back. Over play for me.

ok, finally locking in a play for today's EPL game.

EPL, Liverpool vs Tottenham - Over 2.5 @ 1.88 - 1 unit

Both sides are in strong form and while I think the Spurs are the stronger side, there is no doubting Liverpool are just as strong when playing at Anfield. Suarez and Gerrard are both back in the squad and even though Spurs are without Defoe & de Vaart, they will still be able to rely on Saha, and it does look like Adebayor will play.

Redknapp has is eyes set on catching the two Manchester sides and will not settle for a loss here. I expect a game similar to yesterday's 3-3 classic. Weather at Anfield also looks ok, so no concerns there.

African Cup of Nations, Mali vs Ivory Coast
Ivory Coast to WIN @ 1.457 - 4 units

I have kind of missed the boat on this already as I was planning on getting it at the opener but jumping on now before it goes further south. This should be a comfortable win for Ivory Coast. They are undefeated so far in this years tournament and have not conceded a goal. Mali have punched above their weight, going an impressive 3-1 but only made it out of the quarters after extra time & penalties against Gabon.

This will be Ivory Coast's first real test of the event but they are desperate for the trophy and should not lose focus here. This is their best ever opportunity to win the Africa Cup and I don't expect them to drop the ball against Mali. Also, Mali have a few injury concerns, but Mali coach is holding his cards close to his chest. A full idea on his squad will not be known until much closer to game start. The biggest concern for Ivory Coast IMO is an injury sustained by their starting goal keeper Boubacar Barry in the previous match. This is the biggest concern for me and if he is not 100%, or they rely on a backup GK, then Ivory Coast may be in a little trouble.

Having said that, Ivory Coast have enough talent to concede goals and still come out on top in this one. Ivory Coast to win.

The Campeonato is only 6 weeks into the season so its hard to get a strong feel for these teams yet, but Paulista is off to a strong start while Sao Caetano has started off slowly. Paulista have played 5 games, with 4 wins and 1 draw. Sao Caetano has only managed 1 win and 2 draws out of 5. Away from home they are even less impressive. Its early days and a few surprises could definitely be on the cards but this is a good spot for a healthy Paulista to continue their winning form. Paulista FC to win.
