Rapid are in the chase for a European qualifying spot for next season as they stand just two points out of 5th place in the league. Therefore, matches like this against a relegation zone team like Victoria Branesti are must haves. Branesti is on a poor run of form with losses in four of their last five and failure to take full points in eleven straight matches. At home, they were a side to be reckoned with early in the season but stand on a five match winless streak. Rapid have not been a strong side on the road with just three wins away from home, but they won their last road tilt and should have confidence here in that they destroyed Branesti at home 7-1 early in the season.

APRIL 14th: [EUROPA LEAGUE] SPARTAK MOSCOW-PORTO OVER 2.5 [-101]
Porto is sporting the huge 5-1 lead thanks to Falcao's hat trick. They are relaxed, but still fielding a strong side today. Spartak Moscow will be playing for pride, but this is not a hapless scoring squad. They showed some danger on the counter in the 1st leg & have scored in all five EL matches. Porto have only failed to score once in five EL matches & with the danger of Falcao & Hulk, they should have more chances against an open Russian side. Looking for some loose futbol here and maybe some goals, I just don't see this being boring. Remember not to deviate from your normal wager size on these slightly unpredictable EL matches.

Home opener for one of MLS' new franchises. So far the Timbers have yielded at least one goal in each of their three matches although it has tightened a little from 3 to 2 to 1. They have also managed to score in two of three. Chicago is having issues in goal as the Fire have allowed multiple goals in each of their last two matches, five in three matches overall. Chicago has scored in every match. Portland no doubt will push hard to score and impress in front of the home crowd. The Fire's leaky goal tending should help there while the Fire with the likes of Marco Pappa should have chances to score. ESPN2 at 11pm ET. Get your drank on.

Obolon draws Karpaty who have only taken full points in two of 13 road matches this season. One of those came in their last road match, but keep in mind they also were beaten soundly by relegation candidate Sevastopol & bottom feeding Metalurh Zaporizhya gained a 0-0 draw with them. Obolon have only lost three times at home in 12 league matches. Included in their home form is a win over top of the table Shakhtar and a draw with 2nd place Dynamo Kiev. Karpaty's poor road form should mean Obolon has a chance to at least work a draw here, thus making the handicap an attractive shot.

Although Szolnoki MAV sits at the bottom of the table, getting the +0.5 line here when they are at home looks good. MAV had been in a run of four matches unbeaten before losing on the road last time out - giving up two shock goals in extra time to drop a 4-2 decision. At home, they have results in three straight and five of their last seven. That includes a draw against league leading Fehervar last time at home. Contrast that with their opponent, Ujpesti, who have one win in eleven road matches and have dropped seven straight on the road. Ujpesti have only taken the full three points in one of their last five & two of seven. MAV is without their leading goal scorer, but he had not scored in three of the last four matches where they gained results & they scored twice after his injury in the last match so they still have some fire power.

APRIL 15th: [HOLLAND] HEERENVEEN-UTRECHT OVER 3 [+103]
Sloppy defense for Heerenveen of late with eight goals allowed in their last three. At home, they have had some issues scoring at times but may not find that against Utrecht who has given up seven goals in their last two matches. Even though neither is always consistent scoring, I think the poor defensive play rates higher than the lack of offense at times. Will give it a whirl.
