Sorry for the wait guys, me and Wilforth have been talking over the last couple of days about picks for 11th-12th June, so we can give a couple of days notice for picks.
We also have been looking over future bets and trying to attach an agreed stake size to them all.
So here goes....
Futures Bets
Serbia to qualify from Group D @ 5/6 for 4 Units
This is our favourite bet futures wise. Serbia have a squad capable of winning the group and are built on a top defence. Milos Krasic in the midfield is quickly becoming world class and i think they are the most settled Serbian team we have ever seen.
Slovenia to qualify from Group C @ 7/4 for 3 Units (Wil wanted 4 units, i wanted 2 units so we took the middle ground)
Won't sit well with many SBR members but we have to play this based on value and technical ability of the squad. Robert Koren is well known for his time in England and he typifies a creative midfield that will cause Group C opponents a lot of problems. Cracking odds on this bet.
Japan to finish bottom of Group E @ 5/6 for 2 Units
Really feel Japan have no hope in this group and will struggle to score at all. The best they can hope for is draws or nicking a 1-0 win somewhere. Lack any creativity or attacking edge
Those are the bets we agreed on, and any seperate bets we both have will be posted in this thread also.

1st Holland, 2nd Denmark @ 11/4 for 2 Units
1st Germany, 2nd Serbia @ 11/4 for 2 Units
David Villa To Goal Scorer @ 8/1 for 2 Units
Brazil to win the Whole Thing @ 4/1 for 5 Units
The latter 4 future bets will not count towards our overall record unless Wilforth agrees with them. The key to this thread is unity in betting, to improve our ability to pick winners.
* There was one bet that i thought had snuck under all radars, and that was Jong Tae Se to be top N Korean goal scorer @ 11/4. HOWEVER, Bet365 would class a push or no goals scored as a loser, so that bet has been thrown out. If DPR score any goals, he will be responsible.

11th-13th June Picks
France/Uruguay 1H draw @ 21/20 for 2 Units
Expect a close game here and wouldn't be surprised to see a 0-0 draw. Yes both teams have very good attacking options but France came out of a qualifying campaign unsure of themselves, and scored just ONE goal in Euro 2008.
Uruguay will have to be careful not play too open, which is what they did against Israel in a friendly i watched not too long ago.
Slovenia -0.25 vs. Algeria @ 19/20 for 2 Units
Nobody talks about Algeria and we will hopefully see why. Just dropped their captain and will rely far too much on the big stars they have. If Slovenia fail to win we can wave bye bye to the Slovenia future bet.
2-teamer: England ML vs USA / Germany ML vs. Australia @ 5/4 for 4 Units
Biggest bet of the opening days and i personally am most worried about USA throwing a spanner in the works. Cannot see the Aussies doing much tp stop Germany winning this group. USA friggin worry me, or should i say England to get the win.
Greece DNB vs South Korea @ 1.875 for 2 Units
Otto Rehagel has talked much of them going back to their 2004 setup, and if they do that successfully they'll win this game 1-0 in the 70th minute like they did 6 years ago. Still have credibility up front and the team spirit that will keep them playing smart football.
Serbia -0.25 Vs Ghana @ 1.825 for 2 Units
Ghana look strong but no Essien is a big blow and Serbia have more strength to win this. Taking -0.25 for a bit of safety this early in the tourney.
Quite a lot of flat betting for this first couple of matches, just want to see how things go early on. We had to leave Mexico out as a collaboration bet because of some suspicion of this whole Host country feel.
However, i cannot let the draw @ 9/4 in the opening game slip as a bet for me and the over 2 goals @ 1.825
I'm betting 2 Units on both
