hey bro, sad to see how this turned out, its been a strange strange world cup, i mean even that nigeria game was going one way until a moment of stupidity which nobody can factor into bets.

Like you around a month ago i couldn't pick a winner for everything and i think i went for around 2 weeks pretty much straight losing run lol, take a break, 1,2 weeks, in order to break the habit and restart with small stakes just to settle back in, the Prem etc aint too far away so it may be wise to hold off till then,

Smogs you will be fine. Respectfully I think you just need to stop betting such big units on these group stage games. You will make all of your money once the round of 16 starts. That's when picking winners is easy for someone with your knowledge.

All good points. We have definitely taken too many favourites, too many square plays.

Betting too much on the wrong games and chasing on daft bets.

I get the feeling this has turned into my thread with all wil's work is done behind the scenes. I thought it would be a thread where ideas are getting bounced off each other and it hasn't happened. If you scroll through the thread it just looks like mine. I have racked up quite a post count the last week as a result.
If it's because of stuff that isn't anyone else's business that is completely understandable.

Me and Wil tried to do something and it failed. Both to blame for that and i will have bets for further matches.

I am blogging for SBR and the research i put into the France bet tonight led to me placing a big wager, because i had done serious matchup handicapping. I just didn't account for Domenech.

I think just slim down the units being wagered. Early in this competition, there are very few matches worthy of making huge bets on IMO. Like your England bet, it probably has a good shot, but man if it loses then you're going to want to jump off a cliff. If you start making big bets, you feel like you're constantly chasing any time you lose even just one pick. We've all been there. You also can't take it too hard when dumb luck comes into play like with red cards. Keep your chin up, it's a long way to the final. Just trust in your picks and live with the consequences.

The thing is though, whereas in my regular season thread one unit was massive, i have scaled it right down with all my money tied up in my holiday on monday to california. So the actual loss itself isn't that big a deal, just the constant losing units and poor record

It's a learning process. These games have been quite unpredictable. But it's a tournament and first round of games can be quite unpredictable.

I did Slovenia +300 and Serbia +560 for 0.5u each. At least one of them will come through. That's the law.

Ok, here's a play i think has a chance to hit.

1st Half (Ger/Ser) Under 1 @ 1.9 for 2 units

We would be needing 2 goals for the loss and with Serbia looking very solid at the back, and very weak up front given game one as an example, we could easily see a 0-0 first half

I think i will try to hit less obvious plays and see how that goes

This is a good play, whole match will go UNDER and less risky is the first half UNDER, no guarantee it will hit but definitely a smart play - way to go and good luck Smogs!
