I know. This game was a disappointment for me too. Brazil had some good inspirations but they didn't work out. I didn't even want to watch the game with that annoying buzzing sound!
Even though Brazil has to be my all time favorite team to watch in international play because of the great appearances they usually put on and the fantasy and creativity of their offense, I see that right now my books are giving the USA +700 (8.00 decimal odds) to win and Brazil -285 (1.35). Maybe a small bet on the USA to win just for the fun of it at these odds would be worth it. They do have positive momentum with them and they are already considered successful in the Confederations Cup. If they win, then that's great for them but if they lose nobody will say anything against them. All logic says Brazil will win though.
Of course all logic said that Spain would win yesterday and most of us thought that Brazil would score more than one tonight. I saw the USA players to be very strong. They didn't let up and really disabled Spain's midfield. Then they barracaded themselves back in their area frustrating Spain. Of course when you pull your whole team back like that and with so many shots being taken you're bound to get scored on. That didn't happen with Spain. Brazil of course has so many creative offensive players.
I haven't decided what and if I will bet on the final. I'll think about it some more.
Of course there's also the South Africa - Spain game on Sunday also.

US went all out attack throughout the first half, even after they scored they didn't sit back. Infact they didn't go ultra-defensive at any point in the game, even when Spain was throwing the kitchen sink at their defense America still had scoring on the mind, countless times they countered Spain and if they kept a little more composure up-front they could have made scored a few more.Panekk

USA haven't played a defensive game this tournament, I haven't seen them approach a game defensively in the World Cup Qualifiers either. This is an interesting match-up because Brazil like an open game aswell, US have the spirit and momentum going into this game but Brazil want a cup because Dunga is getting ripped in Brazil for the team not being exciting enough.
The last Brazil performance was them on a bad day, that doesn't happen often, it would be wrong to fade the team because of that game but its hard to fade US when there playing with such courage and desire.

MLS - Columbus Crew vs New York Red Bulls: Columbus Crew -.5 & -1 -140 (1.7) WIN
New York havn't won on the road since anybody can remember, seriously their road record is unbelievably bad and I've been fading them for 8 road games straight and will carry on until they prove themselves worthy of not being faded. In addition to not winning away, they have only scored 1 goal while letting in 16. Further bad news is that Angel their top striker and a player of some quality may not play today.
Columbus Crew haven't lost at home, they lost their last road game to Dallas which ended a 9 game unbeaten streak. Teams that go on long streaks can sometimes get complacent and need a punch in the jaw like the one they received last game to get their act sorted out. Columbus have a defender and captain Hejduk returning today, so they'll have a more solid defensive feel and a captain to lead and motivate the team. They won their last 3 home games, including their last game which was against one of the leagues strongest teams Chivas.
Columbus Crew will want to get back to winning ways and have an opportunity here against a team in awful form.

Sorry for the confusion, 1.7 is the decimal odds, I put up both so people who use decimal or American odds can follow easier.
Those odds are painful to look at, do you use more than one book? or are they all offering the same odds? Pinnacle is offering -197 ML, its still not as good as what Betfair is offering though.Oda
