Why does SBR exist in the first place? What is it here for?

I'd like to hear what the big wigs have to say about this, because I think this site has lost its focus quite a bit and needs to get back to the original "mission statement."

Is that a serious question? SBR is here to make money. This is a forum for degenerate gambling shut ins and newbies. I'd say this site is pretty damn successful.

For every crybaby Cougar Bait there is 10,000 Tom, Dick and Larrys looking to get down some action. Not everyone wants to make this site their life. I guarantee this site has grown you, cougar and tons of other gamblers. Don't make it more than what it is.

Yeah, No Coin... the same reason every website on the internet is on the internet.

SBR does do some nice things for us as gamblers. It is nice to see an issue like Mathy's get resolved thanks to SBR. But ultimately, we are here because we like posting on the internet and we like gambling, and if we can do something that involves both of those things, we're hooked. We're all hooked so ultimately they don't have to do shit for us.

I believe the original idea was to offer an honest SportsBookReview to help protect gamblers from shady sites. As any business you want to target your demographic and give them what they want and make money off of them in return.

Last night I called Opie and I was angry about some post he made in some other thread and I kinda lost it. I wasn't screaming but I was pretty angry. He didn't deserve that. I realized after that phone call that it's just ridiculous. That I can't allow myself to become so wrapped up in this site that it changes who I am.

It's been discussed and posted on the forum but honestly I don't feel like spending the 4 minutes I'd need to find it.

Basically SBR's goal is to provide great information on sportsbooks, odds and free picks and to provide a social community for players that can enjoy the community and play in free high money football and poker contests. Add to that the video insights for both the industry as well as handicapping games each week.

Seems to be working pretty good but obviously doesn't do it for everyone.
