Obviously the Lakers are better when he is healthy. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
With that said, how does he make them better defensively? Do you think this team will win the West? LA will most likely be out in the second round again.Comment -

#568The argument about their defense is totally irrelevant as long as they keep winning and scoring triple digits. LA is a .500 team right now. The hype for them is unreal.

Now stop saying "do you really think Nash helps them defensively" cause we all know he doesn't but he helps them overall & that's what matters most.
And stop acting like the lakers sukk cause they are "only" .500. You know just as all the other haters do that they are "only" .500 cause Nash & Gasol have been out. It's obvious you are scared to death of the Lakers otherwise u wouldn't be talking about the .500 team every other post.Comment -

#579Sure Gasol and Nash can't play D. You got two premier perimeter defenders in Bryant and Artest (somewhat). Anyone that doesn't think Bryant is a great defender even at 34 is delusional. You know what you're gonna get on the def. end from those two in the playoffs and you know what you're gonna get with Howard. Lakers won b2b titles with mediocre defensive players and just a good team concept. This team has both individuals perim. defenders and a team defender which Bryant has never had before.
What did I tell you before the season. Defense doesn't matter much when you're scoring 110 points a game in the playoffs. Who's gonna score more than that besides Miami. No one. LA offensive will be unstoppable when they gel. Every guy on the court can create their own shot. No other team has that in the starting 5. Not even Miami.
Do you know what it means to have the ability 1-5 to create your own shot? Think about that tonight and think about what that'll mean in the playoffs when buckets are even harder to come by in half-court sets.
Thanks again.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

OKC has pretty much run the Lakers out of the gym almost everytime they have played them the last two seasons. Do you really think LA can keep up with OKC? They had trouble two years ago and couldn't do it last year.
I don't even think OKC will win the West but I'll take them against LA all day. OKC had like 70 at the half against the Lakers. LA has a weak bench, they can't keep up for four quarters.
I also love how you thank yourself after each post and think you know so much. LOL.
If I'm wrong I'll come back and give you props but I won't be. LA won't win the West and you're going to look really foolish.

Didn't the Lakers have the lead with less then two minutes left in 3 out of the 5 conference finals games vs OKC last year? That tells me the series was a lot closer then it seems. Since then, the Thunder have lost an all star, while the Lakers have upgraded their all star center while also filling their biggest weakness by bringing in an all star pg.
Anyway, just some thoughts..Comment -

#585no way Lakers win the West... they were very lucky to beat Golden State..
and this is just two wins with*Nash in...
wait until the grind wears him down... watch him start to foul out..
i do not care how high his basketball IQ is..
you have to be able to run with the kids.. and they can't do that..
when Nash plays 50 games.. he will not be perky and fast like a Westbrook,
or fresh in the 4th Qtr.. like CHris Paul..
there is zero chance they make it out of the West. Zero.

Howard would be a mediocre Center in the 90s. He's lucky he is playing in this watered down era for big men.
Again, how does Nash help this team's defense? You're not going to win a title when you're giving up 120 every night.
