Technically their worst home loss since 2007 was to Mil, they lost by 19 SU as a 12 point fav (31 points off the spread) on 12-21-10, so almost 2 years to the day. They also had a very bad loss to the Bob cats as well, they lost by 13 as a 14 point fav.(27 points off the spread). Right now theyre 31 point s off the spread. But there is another quarter to go.

Pretty much. Lakers have now won 12 games. They have beat maybe 5 teams 'convincingly'. The other seven wins were last mnight at home to the bobcats because bobcats couldnt make a lay up, at washington because refs called about 3 phantom fouls in the last 2 minutes to makes sure Lakers won (and cover the early number), Nets at home with half the Nets roster not playing and also with a lot of help, Houston whom they simply got up on early in the first and was a boat race the rest of the way.

The only team they have beat that is any good at all was Golden St and that was at home and GSW basically mailed that game in from jump street.

Teams a combined 109-137, not exactly stellar competion, and most of them at home.

Lakers are on a 3 game SU win streak, so that has to be a 'positive' but really shouldnt they be beating the teams in that stretch pretty easily anyway? Although two of those games were actually on the road so that IS a positive actually.

Now reality sets in and they could very easily lose their next 4 games. Three of them they should be dogs for sure. But I said after they lost to Orlando at home they wouldnt go 5-5 their next 10, and they are now sitting on 4-5, so to go 5-5 they have to beat GSW on the road. Well they have a shot since they have 3 days off and GSW is playing a second of a back to back. But still unlikely.

What is their realistic record in those games? 3-7? 4-6? 5-5 would be a frigging miracle. So 10 more games down the drain, and theyre still 2 games under 500. So theyll be sitting at best, 17-19. more than likely 15-21 at almost the half way point of the season. Te next 5 games that make up that stretch are :

They should win 3 of those maybe even 4. So if they do that actually gets them above 500 for the first time in months(if they can go 5-5 the next 10). I actually see them at around 19-22 at the half way point. 20-21 MAYBE. So is a 20-21 team going to win the west? Not frigging hardly. Can they even make the play offs? Not very likely but possible I suppose. I think it takes at least 45-36 to make a play off spot. So that means if they are 20-21 at the half way point they have to go 25-15 the rest of the way. HIGHLY unlikely. If they are much worse than 20-21 it gets increasingly difficult. If they are better then it becomes doable.

Now if Steve Nash is superman and they go on a tear and they are say 24-17 at the half way point, they they simply have to play 500 ball the rest of the season. But does anyone really think this team will go 12-3 in that stretch of games? I doubt even the most deluded Laker homer of all time could make that prediciton with a straight face.

Wanti just can't except any game the Lakers win. Every excuse in the book. Now he's assigning "realistic wins". Lakers are the only team in the league that has a win loss record & a win loss realistic win record. According to wanti the Lakers are 1-14-11. Every one of their losses count as a loss but their wins don't count as wins unless they win by blowout.
In one post he dissected every Laker win & counted it as an actual loss for the following reason (a) other team couldn't make a lay-UP, (b) refs called 3 phantom fouls, (c) "half" the nets roster not playing + lots of help, (d) got UP early but win didn't count because of a boat race , (e) refs cheated), (f) refs gave them more free throws. it never ends. There's ALWAYS an excuse.
