Have you actually spent time at other forums?

Peeps instituted a new rule last week or the week before that certain words would no longer be tolerated - words that we auto filter and in some cases have to manually remove when posters think their deliberate misspellings are cute - and many people were outraged. The other forums have about 1/1000 of the traffic of SBR other than Covers so of course you'll see less instances of it although from my few forays over at the EOG, it's actually more blatant. Covers is like KKK Central over there. This is the Internet. People are going to say crappy things. They do it to you and they do it to me. Like crusty said, if all of us were posting with our real names, it'd happen less. But the end result is the same: Report it if you're offended. However don't get into arguments where you're slinging crap back. Hard to see you as the wounded party if you're engaging in the same thing you're saying has made you offended.

Besides letting their records speak for themselves, I think its nice to form a judgement on peoples picks based also on their character.
I found that for a period of time, fading the racist here was actually working.
I am not going to come right out and say that all the bigots here are fade-worthy but, as a general rule it has seemed to work in the short term.

Have had some racial debates spark in some college courses... I actually spoke to a black person who voiced to the class that blacks are NOT CAPABLE of racism since they are always in the minority in this country and you have to have majority power to technically be racist.

I kept quiet in class as a rule, but luckily someone who is loud asked him to describe what it would be if 5 blacks beat up 1 white. In that situation, they have the majority.

Anyway, everyone is racist, and some races are more racist than others.

Like it or not, a gambling internet forum is one of the few places anymore you can say politically incorrect things without fear of liberal media trying to make a national example of you or where coworkers/community will see it and it costs you your job.
