In fact, the whole city of Los Angeles came out to celebrate it.

actually, there has never been a bigger turnout for any parade of any sport in north america than in Philly when flyers won the cup in 75. it still holds the record for most people to ever attend in anything in 1 place at the same time in the U.S.. well over 2 million people that day in philly after flyers won the cup. not even Pats, Yankees, Giants, Redsox, Dodgers, or any Super Bowl winner could beat it. Philly fans do love their flyers, especially if they become competitive.

Truthfully, Bryz wasn't the problem last year, it was the defense in front of him. Pronger went down, Timonen was atrocious for whole stretches, we wound up playing rookies out of necessity, and injuries to guys like Meszaros killed us.

Never said Bryz was God. Just said that he wasn't the main problem, and he wasn't. Main problem was the D in front of him.

Bryz was the main problem and not his D. He played like he didn't care. His mind was never in the game. You can't blame his D for this one.

Taking one random play and then saying that is why the entire playoffs were his failure is ridiculous. I could just as easily blame Timonen for that absurdity. Why didn't the defenseman (in this case Timonen) take the puck and go up ice? Why did he play it back to his goalie? Why didn't he play it to his defensive partner? Lots of variables there Nicky but you just lay the blame on Bryz.

I'll say it again, Bryz was not the main problem and anyone who says he was either isn't a Flyers fan or simply doesn't know what the fukk they're talking about.

Bryz has a ridiculous .987 save percentage vs. NJ.

Off the charts.

NJ's offense is anemic. They needed double overtime and 7 games to beat Florida.

There is not any reasonable chance the Devils can win this series.
