#6Don't get to cocky Flyers fans. This Devils team is better than it looks. Solid D, goaltending, and very deep offensively. Not saying the Flyers will lose but it won't be easy. At least we have home ice.Comment -

#7I agree with Phillies beating NJ.
Florida is no bad team, but NJ can't throw away more than 1 goal leads away against Philly, and Brodeur can't think he got it in him without making an effort.Comment -

#10No way they sweep. Bryzgalov has great #s vs. NJ, but he also had great #s vs. Pittsburgh. Flyers D/goal tending has to be much more consistent for them to win the series. NJ won't bend over like Pittsburgh. I'll bet you 100 SBR points that NJ wins at least one game. You send me 50 when NJ wins a game, you get 100 if Philly sweeps.

5 games isn't a sweep.
I said the Flyers MIGHT sweep.
As in, it's a possibility.
Bryz has a ridiculous .987 save percentage vs. NJ.
Off the charts.
NJ's offense is anemic. They needed double overtime and 7 games to beat Florida.
There is not any reasonable chance the Devils can win this series.Comment -

#1650 if Flyers win in 6 or 7 or if the Devils win the series ... since I have a wider variety of ways to win in that fashion, I'd even amp it up to 125 if you want.Comment -

Flyers are light years ahead offensively, better defensively, have the better goalie, and the best power play.
Flyers are also getting healthy.
They have JVR back, Grossmann who has been our best defender since he got here, and possibly another very good defenseman in Meszaros sometime this round or the next.
I kind of feel like I would be actually taking unfair advantage of you with this deal.Comment -

#21I am a flyers fan and I think they have too much offense for NJD, but let's be real here. Dont be shocked if it goes 6.
Bryz looked shaky at best, finished strong, sure, but having home ice can almost be a disadvantage. I honestly was rooting for Florida for a couple of reasons, because if the Flyers could have gone down there and gotten one of those first two, they steal home ice and come home to put them in a serious hole. The same holds true now for the devils. Brodeur has the ability to steal a game at Wells Fargo and he showed that ability last night. Also, Kovalchuk and Parise are serious. Those are legitimate stars. The Flyers have some question marks at Defense, and IMO it all depends on Bryz. He plays well, sorta back to normal, the Flyers should roll. But let's not forget that these are serious rivals, and know each other well.
With that being said, the Flyers absolutely buried the Favorite for the cup, and have the most impressive PP in the NHL right now. I also am really enjoying watching Giroux become the Elite player in the NHL, and Coots and Schenn are becoming great right before our very eyes. Hopefully JVR can regain some of that 2011 Playoff dominance.
I am excited to see the FLyers and NYR in the EC finals, but I will absolutely be rooting for Ovie and Craps to put out those dreadful blue shirts. Great time of year.
LETS GO FLYERS.Comment -

LETS GO FLYERS.
In truth, the Devils struggled against a fraud team.
Florida was the weakest team in the East playoffs.
Yet, they took the Devils to 7 games.
The Pens, who were the Cup favorites heading into the playoffs, couldn't get the Flyers to 7 games with home ice advantage.
The Flyers are going to bury the Devils.
Simply bury them.Comment -
