We have added some new items to Become Pro for US guys. These products are only available for US users. The Pro program is still very cool for way less than $1 a day. Plus, its profitable.
Can you list the new options and details for US users here? Current Pro's can't see what the details of the new options are.
Thanks.

I'm in the US and considering using the Amazon or Fantasy option to become PRO. Am I correct in assuming that if I do so that I will then be able to use my points in the SBR Store after approval of my PRO application? My non-pro points aren't forfeited once I become PRO are they? Also, what would cause an application to be denied?

What are the details on the Amazon option?
You get to keep up to 5000 non-pro points.

Yes... a $200+ purchase on Amazon, Vividseats, EToro online trading, Fantasy sites, handicapping service, or line service subscription.
So I have 17K pts now... I'd lose 12K if I go PRO? Doesn't seem worth it then really...

Maybe they changed it, it use to say it in the "Fine Print".
Wait for a Mod to chime in, or PM Lou.
Doesn't say it there anymore:

to say it doesnt seem worth it means u dont make sense.. 5k pts is 5k pts.. right now u have 17k but its worthless.. u can only get 1 hat and 1 shirt and then u are effectively banned from the store anyway.
so imo buy ur shirt n hat and then become pro and have ur 5k pts to buy 25 pizza cards or whatever else u want that is worth 3-500$.. which means u are wasting money EVERY DAY by not becoming pro.. WHY? because u only make 6 pts per day (when as a pro u will make 12) and u continue to gamble.. when u are just forfeiting the pts.
if u think for one second that holding out will help u ... u are wrong.. sbr quickly went from allowing unlimited to transfer from non to pro in pts .. to 25k.. and now to 5k... HURRY and become pro and realize the FULL advantages or u will lose out when they switch it to 500

From the FAQ's page:
The SBR Pro program is an annual membership that involves users making a $200+ commitment to a third-party sponsor. After being confirmed as an SBR Pro (read the SBR Pro application), a member will receive various benefits including double the daily forum log-in points, entry to exclusive poker tournaments and handicapping contests, as well as unrestricted access to the SBR Store. After becoming SBR Pro, a Non-Pro whose balance exceeds 5,000 SBR points will be reset to exactly 5,000.

haha nice. You could've seen it in a thread too... I know some of the Admins had posted about it to announce the change and then because a few guys were saying that non Pros shouldn't be able to carry over any points when they convert. But I'll definitely check with Admin.

I'm pretty sure I gone to that page and copy/pasted it to let people know. That is why I was surprised it was gone this time.

GET LOST!!!! You are insinuating my memory has a flaw. This is impossible. Don't make me go through all of your posts in the next 27 mins before I start work just to prove that I am still 100% perfect in every way. You saw it in a thread, ok?

Onlooker was by far the best Mod SBR has ever employed. He made the smart move when he moved to Silicon Valley. SBR has never been the same since you left Onlooker. You are up there with the best Mod ever in forum history, Minnow.

Did you try refreshing or clearing your cache like Lou suggested above? When I go in there I can see the Sportsbook Sponsor option but that's it. Makes sense because he said they're geo-targeted so I guess I wouldn't see the new options anyway.

I understand in the long run it could be worth it, I'm simply saying that it wouldn't benefit me personally at this time. I'd basically be spending/wasting $200 on something I have no interest in (aside from maybe buying $200 worth of stuff through Amazon) to lose $400-500 worth of points, to be reset to around $200 worth of points. The way we in the US are going, it may be illegal to use virtual points to purchase items in a virtual store by next week. If I could deposit $200 in a sportsbook then it would be worth it either way, but sadly we can't spend our money how we choose these days...

^ But what your missing is that say that in the next year you finally do decide to become pro..u will have wasted any pts that you would earn until then because u are already over the limit...but if u become pro now u can earn 5k+ pts by then and it's all free gifts it Amazon money etc for u...besides say u do the 200 Amazon to become pro.u can keep it sell what u bought*and then cash in ur 5k pts for more gift cards..roughly 250$ more is 5k pts.
Trust me u are waisting your time betting and earning pts and trying yto win contests here because technically u are already maxed out .but if u became pro now...in a year u will have ten k or more free pts that u will currently lose out on in exchangeability.
To each his own.

I completely understand it would be worth it in the long run and I agree with your points, I'm not debating the long term benefits. It just sucks being in the US, this "great country," and having to resort to Amazon shopping to get the benefits of a sportsbetting forum.

This is in no way meant to be a knock to SBR, they have gone out of their way to find ways to allow us to still enjoy the benefits of being here. It's just a testament to the direction our country "of the people, and by the people" is heading...

question...with my pro status expiring on jan 23, 2013 will I lose all of my points and ability to cash in my points for SBR PRO items after that time if I don't renew again by donating $200 to a charity as that seems like its the only option for USA people?
Please let me know as just want to make sure I know what's happening as I don't want to find out I have blown 4 years of work to get to 13,000+ points waiting to cash them in for somehting good and then being stuck with just papa johns pizzas...
Shari please help!

looks like on Dec 23 you should be able to renew for 3,000 points or a $200 donation. Do not let your pro status expire or your lose points as you would be reset to 5,000
