I wish that you could have had this bash earlier in August though. My kids start school on the Monday after the bash and my wife might not be able to go since she is a Principal of a school and they actually start a week earlier for staff. She can miss a few days, but missing the first day of school is not a great idea for the leader of the school

I almost did the same. If you ask for a menu, you pay. The spread was free and it was a quite decent spread.

On the can non Pros attend question? Yes but there are some restrictions. They must have been a member prior to the announcement and they can not play in the $5000 poker giveaway.

Onto golf; SBR is not going to sponsor an official tourney. It's a logistic problem and a Vegas thingy that makes trying to play golf at 7am on a Saturday, so as to make the poker tourney, a problem. I'd love to play Friday afternoon if anyone is interested?

Yeah, I was signed up for it last time, but after getting in at 6am, the 30minute nap wasn't enough to get up and get ready... Sorry John!

I never heard anything from you on a horse racing tourney? I think it is an excellent idea and I know several members here like the idea. We can put that tourney on Saturday afternoon after the poker tourney if the poker tourney is early enough. We just can use a laptop and some good software to do it with. I don't think it would be too difficult. We could have some decent prizes with a small entry fee that the members could have and then SBR could chip in some. We have plenty of time to get it figured out. I seem to think that there could be some good support for this.
