ya I have read through this and I gotta wonder, what SBR thinks about this.

Don't get me wrong, some valid points are raised and I could make a few more.

The point is that SBR is trying to both balance fun and fairness for its customers and business succes for SBR and its partners. Its not going to be perfect but they are trying to make this impossible balance work for most customers without giving away the bank.

Anyways, while not perfect, I truly appreciate what SBR has provided to me.

Just over a year ago, a good friend (sinmeido) told me about this site and I doubted it. After I got over my skeptisim and joined, I have had a lot of fun, recevied a lot of $$ value at the various partner sites and I have made a number of good new friends.

All for zero, ziltch, nada $$ from me.... I cannot say that about any other place on the internet nor live.

Again, not perfect, but what is?

Be thankful for what do have.

    Thanks a million SBR.

Won't be able to make it Saturday afternoon.

Sounds like a great tournament, though.

RE: Ryder Cup discussion. I don't have the full list, but I know aceking had at least 1500 points and didn't make it. I had 1350.

            Good Stuff Lou!

I also like the idea of bracelets for some kind of tournaments. That would be awesome

well said. just tired of all the complaining. this is a work in progress. simple positive user feed back will result in improvements to sbr poker. look at where it is as opposed to one year ago . and one year from now it will be even better.

I'd say we have our own SBR WSOP

20 + events, different buy ins, main event, bracelets, etc.

SBR is gonna have to buy lots of silly bands for all those bracelets they will have to award.

A couple of guys won major events. Good for them. The majority, probably 90% of the top 100, have grinded to their respective place in the top 100.

Anyway, there is still over a month and anyone posting in this thread could still make the top 100.

Everyone of these major tournaments are being organized and produced by SBR for the first time. And so far I think Lou and Scott and the whole team has done a treemendous job putting up first class tourneys like the SBR WSOP and SBR Ryder Cup. I'm sure they will get better too.

I have found poker extremely tough since Black Friday with no real direction to go anymore. It is all scary right now and SBR seems to be the only way left. daily tournaments are easily worth 2K monthly and these added events will be big bonuses. Ring games could net me another 8k monthly. I would like to see monthly top winners events also though. I would also like to see total after rollover awarded included as that is the true amount won. Nothing should be added unless rollover.

Thanks for the top 250 list.

Will they be perfect formats? Hopefully but there will be a Fuzzy or two most likely. One thing is for sure, they will be a lot of fun and very rewarding. thinking:

21-50 play each other. top 10 advance
51-100 play each other. top 10 advance.

so 10 from 51-100 advance, by playing weaker competition.

if ur still considering alterations. i think this would be more fair.
                                              21-40 plus 81-100 play for 10 spots.
                                              41-80 play for 10 spots.

why should 10 guys, from 51-100 be placed in final, without even playing a top 50 opponent?

also, for the rollovers, could we have the rollover broken up into segments. no more than 500 per segment. nice to liquidate some of the rollover before completing the massive climb.

thanks again for the tourney, looking forward to it. could use some tweaking though.

really only complaint is the 51-100 play and advance, not fair for the guys in the 20's, just missed a bye, which is a bit excessive as well.

It wouldn't change much for me since I fluctuate between the high 50's and low 60's, but I agree that this setup would be fairer.

February should not have counted at all, those people that won those mega prizes in February are all locked up for a 1st round bye.....that is bull shit, SBR should only count the normal months of regular poker prizes for this.

Also, if you guys haven't read the below thread yet, SBR is now crippling parlay payouts in the SBR Book. Not just by a little bit, the correct payout amounts are off by hugeeeeee amounts now, no where close to the true odds and they never made an announcement to warn people.

                                                    Step #1:
Message or e-mail your Bodog account ID. New Bodog accounts must be made using this link.
                                                    Step #2: Download SBR Poker!
Step #3: Choose and register which Satellite tourney you will play in each day.

                                                    Rules/Fine-print
                                                    1. Non-SBR pro members must buy in to each satellite tourney for a 15 point entry fee for each freeroll event they wish to play in. SBR PRO members play for free. You must have 10 SBRforum posts to participate.
                                                    2. You may take part in only one tourney per day.
                                                    3. If a satellite winner is unable to register and play in that Saturday's Championship event, they will receive 500 points.
                                                    4. A poster that wins a weekly event and advances to the Saturday Championship may participate in subsequent satellites that week for the SBRpoints prize; second place would receive the tournament entry.
                                                    5. SBR employees are unable to redeem any prizes.
                                                    6. Cash prizes carry a 5X rollover requirement.
