I didn't get to see the fight. The gif posted in here makes it seem shady but reading articles about the fight all the writers agree the two punches were clean. Even Ortiz basically said "i fukked up." What was the ref gonna do after the fact anyway? Stop the fight and go to the scorecards? Money May would have won 30-26/27'ish.
Lets face the facts, Mayweather is the best fighter our generation has ever seen. Mayweather may be the best pure boxer in the history of the sport.

Just read on ESPN that Mayweather collected a "minimum" $25 million for this fight. Seems like there must be a lot of people out there dropping $50 on the PPV....Amazing people still pay to watch this stuff when you can get it online for free...Comment -

Boxing is very corrupt, but it is the promoters that are. Not the fighters. Last night wasn't fixed. Ortiz was on his way to getting stopped so he got desperate and used a head butt. Floyd threw a quick 2 punches and that was it. Cortez has no business being in the ring as a ref anymore. The guy is about 80. Cheap would have been hitting him as he went in for a hug. You could tell by Mayweathers body language that he was truly pissed off. He was crazy trying to apologize to him within arms reach.
Screw accepting an apology with a head butt like that. People throw accidental low blows and there are clash of heads but a jumping/spearing headbutt is no where close to accidental.
Yeah a point was taking away but a cut can screw up a fight. Its not how I wanted the KO to come but I'm glad he got knocked out.
Ortiz had a punchers chance at winning but he isn't on Mayweathers level.

Was this one? No. It was not fixed. If it was they wouldn't have fixed it this way.
Boxing isn't going anywhere. I don't get why UFC fans are so threatened by Boxing and want it to die. They are two different sports. They can both go on.
If you think there has never been an ugly UFC fight or a controversial decision you haven't watched it for long.
