12 left. The top 5 are only seperated by 4 mil. No one is running away with this.

Oh brother. I don't recognize a single name on that list. Guess that's what the wait till November is about, pumping the players up through the media.

If this tournament was smaller like the WTP's there'd almost certainly be a bankable name(s) to market the final table to right away.

you probably made your post while I was seperating the names. All I do is c&p the info from the wsop site and remove the clutter so the names lineup nicely.

Just like my post about the stupid FullTilt ad:

"why is it that so many final tables have so many familiar faces?"

1] there are tons of 'familiar faces'
2] until recently the tournaments were smaller so the 'pros' were a higher % to make final table

Noone is ever gonna win two WSOP main events in a row ever again. Poker is 90% luck, 10% not being a moron.

Dennis Phillips just hit a monster hand and is starting to pull away. He's at 24 mil in chips and the closest guy to him has 14 mil.

90% luck? You can't be a very good player if you think that. I'd put it closer to 60% skill, 40% luck...

The final table is set, well almost

Joe Bishop is Eliminated in 11th Place ($591,869) After doubling up two opponents in a row, Joe Bishop moved all in for 2.4 million. Chino Rheem called from the big blind and showed to Bishop's . The flop looked to be a good one for Bishop as it gave him two pair. But it also gave Rheem a wheel draw, and after the turned Bishop walked over the the rail, unable to watch, with an ESPN camera recording his reaction. And that's when the dealer placed the on the felt. Rheem thrust his arms in the air in triumph as the crowd went crazy. Bishop leaned against the rail in resignation as his two pair failed to hold up and he was eliminated from the Main Event. We're now redrawing as all ten players will now be seated at the main ESPN TV table.

No big names will certainly hurt the ratings, but will still be worth watching.

Kelly Kim is a pro player, had 6 figures in tournament winnings prior to the WSOP, I have a small piece. Hoping he gets AA v KK on like, hand #1.
