this is a really unpredictable play for me. I want to say the packers blitz schemes should dominate Newton but he looked so good today and 10 points at home is a fukkload
I think we will have a better idea of how to bet with Carolina after this week so that's a no play for meComment -

#75I'm completely on board with this. I'll be taking PHI next week and I'd bet anyone up to 100 points that they cover vs ATL next week. The last time PHI made this kind of splash in free agency was when they went to the SB in 03' and started the year 7-0. Who cares if their O-line and LB corps is a work in progress? What team doesn't have holes right now (other than maybe GB)?Originally posted by brahmabull117I expect this season to be a repeat of the 2007 season with the patriots where the pats covered every spread the first half of the season and then the linemakers started making them 14 point favorites every game and then you were fcked But I will keep tailing them until the linemakers adjust. This is an awesome awesome team with the best secondary and defensive line in the league to go along with an offense that averaged 32 points per game when Vick started last year
I don't think ATL's secondary is "horrible" and I think they are a LOT better than what they showed today, but I just don't see PHI losing anytime soon (as long as they are healthy).Comment -

Packers hit New Orleans with everything they had offensively and pressured Brees all night long, yet they had to be looking up near the end of the game when the Saints still had a chance to win and say "are you fvcking kidding me?" And we're talking about the champs at home here.
Saints beat the Bears by at least 10. At least.Comment -

Atlanta's defense last 8 games against good playoff teams with good QBs
Today against Chicago - 300 + yards passing, blowout loss
Game against Green bay in playoffs - 350+ yards passing, blowout loss
Game against Saints last year - 300+ yards passing, loss
Game against Green bay - 300 yards passing, just barely won
Game against the ravens - 215 yards passing 99 qb rating, just barely won (should have lost if not for a bs no call on an offensive pass interference by white)
Game against the Saints last year - 365 yards passing, barely won in overtime
Game against the Eagles - 326 years passing, blowout loss
Game against the steelers - 236 yards passing to a backup quarterback, loss
not only are they 3-5 in these games, they're basically averaging about 300 yards allowedComment -

#83O-line yes, LB no way. I trust Howard Mudd to whip this line into shape sooner than later and they have more than enough firepower and talent across the board to compensate while they learn.Originally posted by No coincidencesOnly the two most important units on the field.
And I don't even think PHI's LBs are that bad...they are just overshadowed by the all-star D-line and secondary. I expect the LB unit to get better each week.Comment -

and I'm glad how you are ignoring the 42 points given up on defense by the saints
I realize cutler is nowhere near as good as rodgers but the defense and special teams will keep the bears in the game like it always does. The bears rarely get blown outComment -

the offensive line didn't play bad this week at all, the sacks were mainly coverage sacks they give up and terrible blitz recognition by Vick. They will address that though once they watch the filmComment -

#88Those stats don't mean much. Think bigger picture. How was ATL's pass rush in all those games? Why did they spend so much on Edwards this offseason? You could have PHI's secondary, but it won't mean much without a pass rush and ATL hasn't had it.Originally posted by brahmabull117Atlanta's defense last 5 games against good playoff teams with good QBs

#89Atlanta is a solid team, but they do not match up with the Bears at all... You need to attack the Bears on both sides of the Ball, the Falcons are more of a methodical type team...
They will look much better vs. the Eagles...
I wouldn't bet on this game though, too much of a gamble... Atlanta could be down 4 points in the 4th, but Ryan could lead them on a 7 minute drive and close out the game with a TD and there is nothing Vick could do about it...

that's 8 games bro, that's not even a small sample size... I mean if Kolb can put up 31 points and 300+ yards, what can Vick do???
and they got pressure on cutler today, I think the bears got sacked 4 or 5 times and Cutler and the bears receivers still tore them a new azzhole because of terrible coverage and tackling by AtlantaComment -

#92Jones has really opened up the offense for ATL so they will be a much better test for PHI than STL was, but I still don't think it will be enough to pull out a win. How do they match up better against Philly than Chicago??
The chicago offensive line and receivers are average to mediocre. You think they will get shredded by Jay Cutler but find a way to stop mike vick?? The bears offense was near last in the league last year and they got 30 points and 380 yards in this game... that's an offnight for Vick and the eagles
again I think the only way you could justify the possibility of an atlanta win is that Mike Turner will run for 200 yards by himself...which he very will could. I don't think this game is a lock, far from it... but I do believe the eagles win this matchup 2 out of 3 times and I will gladly play an even lineComment -

They defo shitz the bed against CHI and I had them on my card too. I think you can throw that game away and it isn't really indicative of anything. On paper they should be a lot better, but who knows? That's why they play the games. ATL defo need to prove last year wasn't a fluke.

#100The Bears are NOT a terrible offense. 2nd year in the Martz system does wonders, and in the pre season there have been numerous quotes from Cutler, Bennett and Forte about how determined they are for the offense to click this year and carry their load.Originally posted by brahmabull117falcons + 1 really??? The receivers in the Mike Martz offense do not need to be awesome, all they need is to know their routes in Martz' 9,000 page fuckin huge playbook. 2nd year in a Martz system makes the offense look a lot better.
