#215I'm not up for renewal until Feb 3rd 2012 which kind of sucks since I only bet football and wanted to create a 5Dimes account for this season. No point in me creating a new account in Feb. when football is over except for the Superbowl.
I wish I could create an account and deposit at 5Dimes, and extend my pro membership 1 year from Feb 3rd thus making my pro status expire on Feb 3rd 2013.
It seems silly why SBR doesn't allow this, they should just do it so that for every sportsbook on the SBR pro list that you deposit $200 at, it extends your pro membership 1 year. So if I deposit $200 each at lets say 5Dimes/Bookmaker/Bodog for a total of $600 then my SBR pro membership is good for 3 years.Comment -

#216Not sure what the rules are regarding how recent the deposit must be.
But go ahead and sign up for 5 Dimes using the SBR link now. No reason to wait.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#218But as long as you signed up through the SBR link, it's fine. So if you sign up now and deposit in January (I think even earlier than January), you'd be eligible to continue being an SBR Pro that way. Sign up doesn't have to be immediately before deposit.
Like I said, there's no reason not to sign up now.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#219While yisman is correct that signing up via the sponsor link is half the process, the sportsbooks want to reward new customers. A guy coming in via an SBR contest might have used the same link, but if his first deposit is X months later, they may not wish to accommodate. If there are any doubts on the Pro process, connect to Live Help and we'll be happy to assist.Comment -

#220Lou, how recent does the deposit have to be in order to renew as pro? I think that's the real question here.
Regarding the accounts, it's been posted before that it didn't matter when they were created as long as it was through SBR.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#221SBR John posted awhile back that as long as we had joined through an SBR link, made a $200.00 deposit and maintained the balance or grown above we would be eligible to maintain our status upon renewal. Unless it's changed again but who knows?Comment -

You are right,I didn't have to deposit 50 cents to renew. As long as there is at least 200 in the original book you signed up with, that's all that matters.Comment -

#2251,000's of "PROS" and 1,000's of posts about "PROS" from the SBR admins and people are still asking the same questions...anyone else find all this really funny??? Seems to also be 1,000's of different answers...seems nobody really knows the right answers to becoming "PRO" or renewing your "PRO" app..Comment -

#234unreal - just spoke with Lou via Live Chat.... was informed that all I need to do is donate $200 to the "Dr's Without Borders" charity to become an SBR PRO.... not that I particularly care, but I don't want to be the only one with the "Become an SBR Pro" stigma attached to my handle.
My whole problem with the SBR pro system was that I didn't enjoy the idea of some behind the scenes dealings involving my losses....
In order to ensure this is the case I even asked that my payment be delivered via my spouses CC - just to ensure none of my information is released to whomever - not a problem Lou says.
EDIT - You can even donate the 200 via prepaid CC if you would like to ensure all your personal information is kept private. Will post up the 200 donation next time I pass Walmart, or wherever you buy those prepaid CC's.
This was a great idea! Not only do I not have to give up any of my personal information to SBR, but they are going to compensate me for being a good guy - allbeit at a fraction of what I am giving up, but who cares... haven't donated to a charity in a while...
Now I expect SBR Management to be on the horn with Domino's Canada brokering some sort of deal whereby us good hearted Canadians can too enjoy some hard earned Zaaaaa.Comment -

#240Hey guys - I'll make a thread about this but just wanted to announce for certain that Draftstreet WILL be an option in the SBR Pro Program.
We were approved by legal for this today so we had to wait to announce this, and there was some miscommunication, but we are very excited to be a part of this and hope this option helps some folks Go Pro.
Thanks,
