If you bet Japan on the ML it was a loss. If you bet Japan PK it was a push.
The only plays that would have won yesterday was Japan + points or a futures bet of Japan to win the tourney.

Actually FishFace if you use pinnacle there were options to bet Japan to raise cup or to win match (incl extra time)....so whoever did that would of won.

Im in the US fellas. I didnt have that option with any of my books or locals.
Unfortunately I could not even tell you what pinnacle looks like though. Wish I had that option.

im going to assume a bit less than the Japan ML...

Pinnacle has this option for a lot of the soccer tournaments...ie: Copa America, World Cup, etc. If you would of had US you would of been laying chalk...

I didnt have the "raise the cup option at my books" but Canuk pointed out it was an option at Pinnacle.
I know betjam\matchbook\locals did not offer this play. ML and PK were my only options.

Are you serious guy? If I'm a square what in the hell does this "analysis" make you? Any Monday morning quarterbacks acting like Japan was the clear side today are liars. Japan looked good in the semi's so that makes them the obvious side to play in the finals?? and you're calling me the square?? I had USA and lost. Congrats to Japan. I have 0 regrets about my bet. As I have already stated I would take the USA again today, feel like we have the better team.

Illustrating this thought process begs me to want to be your bookie If you truly believe this then you really dont know much about the game of soccer...Just on skill alone how in the world do you think that USA had a more technically adapt team? We mustve been watching different games cos the team USA i saw was lacking any kind of organisation in and out of defense and showed ill discipline in executing set pieces

Really Coochy?? You quoted my post but addressed nothing in it.
My argument is not that the US is more "technically sound". My point the whole time is that I feel like the USA has the better overall team and thats why I bet them. Does that mean they are more technically sound or play a better game of possession no it does not.
I watched the game and you claim to as well. I feel like the USA dominated parts of that game and had FAR AND AWAY the better goal scoring opportunities.
If you feel like Japan had more chances and at times dominated play than yes I would have to agree we must have been watching different games.

USA doubled up Japan in shots and probably tripled them up in scoring opportunities. Doubled up Japan in corner kicks. Besides Japans 2 goals they never even had a shot that tested the US keeper.
I wish some of the "sharp" japan bettors could point out the hole in my argument instead of just screaming "square" and "I wish I was your bookie".
Congrats to Japan. I'm sure they woke up this morning feeling like they stole one away while the USA is kicking themselves for missed opportunities....... I feel like this should be obvious to those of you who watched the game.
