#225Originally posted by Monitor-TanJapan at such odds as a great price to take at right now.. 3 times 12 times means nothing in the championships.. Anyone who says x team has beaten x team whatever number times previously, in a championship is a long term losing bettor guaranteed.
As I said it, this is why 90% of morons are life time losing bettors.

#229Apparently USA was not the right bet.Originally posted by Reds_FANWhoever picks Japan, I would like to personally thank them for keeping Vegas and other bookies in business! Might as well burn that cash right now. Regardless who wins, USA is the right bet here.

#232Nothing easy about this game either way, the "sharps" just post the opposite of what most on th board are on that way if it comes through they feel elite and people will be like wow what a great call, how did you know... etc. Japan was a good value at the price but they were completely outplayed. Anything can happen in any game but price wise US was overvalued although they win this game almost every time. The first Japan goal was a defensive atrocity.Comment -

#235Japan were technically the dominant team and shouldve won that game 5-0 at least had it not been 4 their lack of a quick defender and striker. Really deserved win and good call by u CanuckGComment -

#237there was nothing dominant about the japanese team, they just got lucky. U.S. should have won like 5-1 at the end of regular time but they kept missing when they got the chance to score.

#238Ok.. "Missing Shots" IS NOT LUCK!
IF YOU MISS, YOU MISS, IF YOU HIT THE CROSS BAR!
YOU HIT THE CROSS BAR!
THATS NOT LUCK
LUCK IS CHANCE!!
IF YOU MISS YOUR SHOT, YOU MISS YOUR SHOT..
Why do people say it's "unlucky" to hit the cross bar...Comment -

#239USA are big and strong but goofy playing and lacked any kind of technique as u saw in their defence wich was without formula and shocking to say the least. And to come from behind twice i the way Japan did shows a degree of self belief that beyond matches their opponents. If you saw Japan dismantle Sweden you would agree that there was no better performance in the WC than that. Goes to show that a tortoise with brains will almost always beat the hare...Originally posted by chantrainthere was nothing dominant about the japanese team, they just got lucky. #240It takes "skills" to get your ball into the net..
If you hit the crossbar, you weren't skilled enough to bring that ball down, or more to the side to get it in, in that specific situation to get the ball behind the net.
"UNLUCKY" would be if you shot the ball, and the ball takes a weird bounce because of a grass that was messed up..
That's unlucky, not hitting a cross barComment -
