You do realize the USA team is young when it comes to the amount of players who are playing in multiple World Cups. The only thing the USA has on Japan is height. They are NOT in better shape. Japan is the better team, but the US will exploit their weakness much better than Sweden. The tiny Japanese goalkeeper will have a very hard time with high crosses and half-man Wambach. Swedish strategy was total garbage. Coach lost that game for them. Meanwhile, US lucky to still be in. France could easily have been given a pk at 1-1, when Hope Solo stupidly held the ball in one hand, away from her body, and a French player came from behind and headed it towards goal. Solo took that player down, which was a 100% pk. Instead, she got a free kick, but that was no foul by the French player. Ball open in one hand is not possession. Anyway, refs are a joke this whole tournament.

USA got a decent tune-up for Japan with France today in that they were a possession squad with smaller, quicker players. If Japan keeps finishing off like they have in some of these matches, they will score on Solo. USA will have to use their size in the box to their advantage again and hope that they can score that way, but they obviously have plenty of scoring talent all over the pitch.

Did you even watch the game today? All 3 of Japan's goals were scored on terrible plays by Sweden's goalie. Japan won't score on Solo.
