SBR reminds me of parent who always spoils the younger kids (non-US Pros) and neglects the first born kid. US Pros is what made this site what it is now and at this point they feel very disrespected.

The simple solution to this would be to offer the **** gift cards at or around the same price point the sportsbook cash was. It was said these cards would be in the store, but of course...nothing yet.

Pavy, you're continuing to over value the importance of the few people complaining here. My guess is 95% of US Pros will renew if they have money in their book on their renewal date whether sportsbook cash is available or not. And for those who don't have cash in their book at the time, I'd think a good chunk of those people will renew as well. Just like you're whining because you once had the option of cash and now you don't have it at the moment, people aren't going to like experiencing SBR as a non Pro after they were a Pro for a year. Too many perks and fun things available only to Pros. Plus if you understand how affiliate deals work you'd realise the silliness of your statement in fine print.

Indeed, I'd kick myself too. Heaven help us all if the people in this thread complaining had to pay the taxes also. Can you imagine trying to explain to them that they should be excited that they got the item for free by doing what they would've been doing anyway so having to pay 25% shouldn't be a big deal? Would be a disaster.

I'm an American, and this entire conversation blows my mind. Yes, the sportsbook cash was nice. There are, however, so many other uses for the points. Buy a Wal-Mart gift card and use the money you save at the store to fund some action at a book. No, it's no the same amount point-wise, but it's still a pretty nice perk.

SBR offers its members (US and non-US) fantastic options for sitting at computers and discussing sports/gambling. Pros get points for doing something they would do anyway.

Here's a fair way to look at it: let's say you paid the $200 to go pro and simply accumulated the 12 points daily. That's 4380 points over the course of the year (assuming you won no contests, trivia, etc.). You can buy $200 worth of gift cards for that amount and have nearly enough to buy a pizza. It really is a no-lose proposition.

I won't complain if the sportsbook cash comes back. I will, however, renew my Pro membership even if it doesn't. I enjoy the site, the perks of membership, and the fun/value of points.

People have every right to complain (US Pros) and is not whining. When people signed up last August to become Pros it was for a 1 year membership with certain perks offered to them and they only got 6-7 months of full perks where non-US Pros are getting the full 12 months with full benefits. This is discrimination against your members.

Keeping in mind that people are flipping out when SBR hasn't even announced what's happening with sportsbook cash permanently, let's assume the worst and it's not back by the time your renewal date comes around. Are you going to renew? And if you decide not to renew but then sportsbook cash comes back 2 months later, will you renew although you're going to have to deposit at a new book since you missed the chance to be grandfathered in?

I hope not. It's a great program where loyal guys get literally thousands of extra points per year. They also get to play trivia 2x per week, free roll poker tourneys daily, contests like Beat the Prick and on and on. And if they are a real player its basically free. If the rewards are not enough for some then that's unfortunate but the show will most definitely go on.

Then you can have the sponsor books offer a nice bonus on top of the gift card value as free play value maybe. That would make up for the free plays or sports book cash. I think that there could be a way to get it figured out right. I just think that is a way around this issue. I haven't seen any gift cards as of yet in the store but it would be nice for you also internationally also.

I only use betjam and betislands and I'm not opening another book, furthermore who knows when the GOV puts the screws to online gambling for good, I'm sure its gonna be sooner rather than later. Im with you on not opening any other accounts, Bet Jam is where I signed up pro last year, and is the only book I feel safe having $ in anymore. I re-loaded at Bet Jam today, but now that I read a little closer its probably not going to cut it as a pro renewal, so if not, no pro for me anymore, and no BTP this year either.
