I'll be there on Sunday morning, so basically the whole week before. I'll be at the Marriott San Jose. I found some great costa rica day tours that will pick the mrs and I up at the lobby of the hotel for these all day tours.

Funny, we are actually looking at them right now. We have it narrowed down to a few and might do all three. Adventure combo(rafting/canapy tour), Cruise to Tortuga Island, Arenal Volcano & hot springs. Most likely we will throw one out as we also want a couple days to go local and explore SanJose and other smaller surounding cities.
Should be a great time!

The rafting will be perfect in August. The water level will be higher, and it'll be intense. Very very fun!!
Canopy is always cool to see nature from so high up in the treetops. The cruise to tortuga islans is pretty romantic, and also very fun. Alcohol is served on the boat so bring cash for the bar. The island itself is so tranquil. You and your wife will love it ALOT. Arenal is another must-see. It spews almost every night, also very romantic and face it, you cant beat hanging out in hot springs all day long.

I'm really glad that you're going to see the real beauty that costa rica has to offer. it's a country full of so many breathtaking sights, that it would be a shame for somebody to come and not see them. It'll be a vacation that ya'll will always remember.
