Props on bench players are extremely rare because playing time is so much more volatile. If Noah gets into early foul trouble he could play 20+ minutes and get 10 rebounds or play 5 minutes and get none.

On a related note to this Asik debate, i love how the commentators and analyst have been showing love to the role players throughout the play-offs. Not sure who it was but one of the guys last night was talking about how valuable players like Nick Collison are. The casual fans dont really notice these guys but when they make important contribution on a big stage its nice to see them get some credit. These guys off the bench will not blow you away with big numbers, they wont have huge games in each game but if you cant see the importance in their contributions you really need to follow another sport because you dont get this one. That includes Asik. So good job ESPN/TNT.
