Eating healthy and finding ways to get protein
    1) get a can of your fav soup, put a can of tuna in it, and you're done. You dont taste the tuna, but you added 30 some grams of protein to your meal without having much fat at all. the fish oil is also an excellent addition to your diet.

    2) eggs/hot sauce/fajita roll. hard boil some eggs and then put 2 in the roll, add whatever kinda of sauce you like, roll that shit up and you've got some healthy deliciousness. obviously you can add vegetables/peppers or whatever, but these are easy things to make that have a lot of nutrition in them.

yeah but it gets old making a protein shake and it lacks the fish oil that you'll get in tuna. not to mention there are different kinds of protein and a persons body will respond differently to proteins from powders and proteins it gets from a natural source.

how could hard boiled eggs with bread and sauce sound terrible? thats a breakfast sammich if i ever heard one.

The first meal (meal is my least fav word in the world btw) is great. you dont even taste the tuna really...it fills you up and you got a lot of nutritional value. i love it.

very true...but then again you can always buy fish oil capsules...for me its always been easier to make the shakes and take the pills over cooking the food and making it...saves time and money...but I understand what you are saying

Fresh salmon is the shit. My kids eat tuna almost every day, I eat it once in a while. Canned tuna in water, don't add a thing, other than perhaps a boiled egg and diced tomatos. Might taste a bit dry without the tomatos but it's good fer ya.

Strawberries are a great snack - just a bit expensive in my neck of the woods.

I only make a protein shake for post workout....scoop of protein, half a frozen banana, a little milk, and some peanut butter every now and then.

yeah its cheap to buy a good whey protein and take a capsule. but the things i mentioned are cheap and quick, i dont spend more than 5 minutes in the kitchen making anything. the protein shakes are great for after the workouts for me since i lift later and dont want to load up on carbs before bed.

I dont eat salmon, but my pops likes it; its a little expensive though. i have mayo that has 15 grams of fat in the entire jar, so i use that when im mixing it up with something. adding some red hot pepper sauce in with tuna takes away from the dryness, but prefer to just mix it with soup and leave out the bread and mayo.

strawberries are unreal if you get a vanilla protein shake and throw a few in.

got to have the fat from peanuts to put on muscle. well, that kind of fat anyway. Peanut butter is pretty much a must.

I agree Mofo...I eat peanut butter every day as well just not in every shake. Pretty much depends on what time I finish my workout. Honestly I usually just eat the Shit right out of the jar an only buy the natural pb to get rid of the hydro oils.

Nah I like it...I usually get Adams natural or Skippy natural. Skippy is the better one but has a little more saturated fat from palm oil.

I haven't had a protein shake in a few months, but I've been playing basketball pretty regularly this past month. Even lost 5lbs, which surprises me greatly as I've not altered my eating habits too much.

If I wanted to, I could easily lose another 25lbs, keeping it off is whats challenging.

Flax seeds come in two basic varieties, brown and yellow or golden, with most types having similar nutritional values and equal amounts of short-chain omega-3 fatty acids. The exception is a type of yellow flax called Linola or solin, which has a completely different oil profile and is very low in omega-3. Although brown flax can be consumed as readily as yellow, and has been for thousands of years, it is better known as an ingredient in paints, fiber and cattle feed. Flax seeds produce a vegetable oil known as flaxseed or linseed oil; it is one of the oldest commercial oils and solvent-processed flax seed oil has been used for centuries as a drying oil in painting and varnishing.

100 grams of ground flax seed supplies about 450 kilo-calories, 41 grams of fat, 28 grams of fibre, and 20 grams of protein.[2]

One tablespoon of ground flax seeds and three tablespoons of water may serve as a replacement for one egg in baking by binding the other ingredients together. Ground flax seeds can also be mixed in with oatmeal, yogurt, wafer (similar to Metamucil), or any other food item where a nutty flavour is appropriate.

If I wanted to, I could easily lose another 25lbs, keeping it off is whats challenging.
