Hey, we want the winner to play. But if you legitimately can not obtain a v-i-s-a in time to enter the US you may allow the 2nd place player to go in your place and you will split the earnings that he wins.

Just thinking out loud, and obviously I'm biased since I'm not 21, but if someone can't go for one reason or another, why can't they just let a family member or friend go in their place? If they win the prize, it doesn't seem fair to just say "You have to give it to the 2nd place finisher".

Its gotta be the actual member so we can applaud/ridicule their performance relentlessly. Ripping on someones mom, dad, brother or such will not be near as fun. .

The structure of the Grand Finale hasn't been determined yet. We'll see how the series goes and what posters request.

You would be able to produce a taxi or gas receipt to be reimbursed on your travel.

maybe reconsidering the prize pay out,
I m sure that having 2 or 3 players from the forum may have more chances to make it further, and help promote the site that would require some effort fromthe player like pay the accomodation flight and expenses.
I m sure many of us would have no problem in hlping out this way.
