Doubtful. It will be the ancillary poker sites like Cake and Bodog before the straight books due to the money involved. Also, this Australian guy ONLY worked with the 4 sites seized today. If the government is going to go after the smaller poker rooms it's going to be long after what went down today is settled.


Also, Partygaming surged almost 3% out of nowhere as hints of this came out at end of trading today. If your broker offers options on UK/IRL investing get on it and make some serious cash Monday.

Bank accounts were seized. Don't try to cash checks that you have but didn't deposit/cash from Stars and FTP. I would worry a little bit if I was a UK player because of the $3billion that the government is trying to get. I think there will be a settlement, but half of that might still a lot for these companies. The cost of this process could affect the solvency of the companies. On the bright side, they do have incentive to pay the US players.

Worst part in the whole indictment. You can't play if you can't get money in or out. No one is going to want to process payments for US customers now that the Feds are involved.

The timing is impeccable, with two states already passing internet gaming laws. How long before the Government decides they want the sportsbook business too?

Never. US will never have legal online sportsbetting. The state of Nevada might. Or maybe a couple other states too, but 95% of the country will never see legal online sportsbetting. Online poker and maybe online casino. In 3 years every 18-30 year old in the country will be as good as Phil Ivey so it will be pointless to play poker.

I'm a pessimist by nature so don't take this too harshly but to me this means the end of online sportsbetting for US residents. There will be a run on the bank at every online sports book and processors will be impossible to find now. Again I am no expert so somebody correct me. I hope I am completely wrong.
