Historically Reyes has not been that strong as a right handed hitter I dont know if he can keep it up from that side, took Josh Hamilton

I think it will be done this year or next. I got a better chance to get 56 than guys like Either and Zimmerman who got 30 in a row who are probably get a hit under 70% of the time for their careers

No, you do not have a better chance at 56 than Ethier had of getting to 30. That's crazy.

We are in a pitcher's era now, and no one has ever picked even 50 straight. No BTS picker has challenged DiMaggio's hallowed number.

If I can hit 85% that mean I have over a 72% chance to hit 2 in a row. So I got a better chance to get 60 than Zimmerman does to get 30. Ichiro in his prime could get 85% now nobody as good as 85% today but if pick the best player 85 is possible.

As for Cust, he's one of the worst guys for BTS. Career .244 hitter, hitting below that this season, won't get many PAs because he's in a weak lineup and a pitcher's park, isn't even always starting so you could pick him and see him pinch hit and finish your streak, takes walks.

Even if he was 8/8 against a pitcher I wouldn't want to take him.

Matchups, for me, come after I determine whether the guy is a viable BTS pick.

Yeah so I started this contest last night with my 1st pick (Emilio Bonifacio) from Florida. He leads off for this dismal squad and gets a hit at his 1st at bat. Then the whole team proceeds to not get a hit for the rest of the game.

Talk about a lucky f u c k I am. It's only one, but what a way to start this contest.

even tho granderson ended my streak 2 days ago, i had to come in here and brag about my jack cust pick. he went 1 for 2 with 2 BB and 2 RBI

no i know yisman, it wasnt a real serious pick and i would never pick him again most likely. i was just kind of having fun with it. since theres no real chance of winning, i like to sometimes pick guys that 'fly under the radar'. its more rewarding for some reason when they succeed.

anyways (as of today) somebody is currently at 40!!

Just lost a six game streak because I was away and didn't get the chance to make a pick.

I had a jumpstart pick of Ichiro, but for some reason it didn't use it and now the jumpstart pick page is blank, even though when I went there earlier this season, the player was selected.

I'm on a 2 game streak in the home run edition, though.

If you are on a streak say just 10 game winning streak and then miss one day, does that mean you reset back to 0? Can you be on a 10 game streak, don't make any picks for the next week then continue and streak continues?

You reset to zero.

I've picked 14 in a row correct, but my BTS streak is only 8 because of this.
