I'll say it one more time, Shogun is a f*ucking one dimensional fighter and Bones' is and was just too versatile for him. Bones dominated on the stand up and on the ground. From spinning back fists to the takedowns, to the long reach jabs that kept shogun distant from him, twice avoiding the takedown when shogun was on his back, and to the elbows and ground and pound on the ground. Of course everything you said makes sense and I would almost always agree with that logic... but in this case, I don't think you can set a line high enough on Jones. And these were my thoughts BEFORE his coming out party tonight; things haven't changed since then. Actually truth be told it was one of my best friends who first thought so highly of Jones, and I bought in a tad after him. My friend watches every fight, reviews tape and all... he's an actual MMA betting expert and won more money on Jones tonight that anyone on this forum (I'm assuming... considering I know how much he won). He truly thinks there isn't a single person in the light heavyweight OR HEAVYWEIGHT division that can beat Jones. He even said tonight that what we saw against Rua was Jones "on a bad night" and he hasn't even reached his peak yet. Long story short you can probably blindly bet Jones for the next 10 years and come out ahead.... can't wait until his next fight!!Comment -
