I've been rolled into a pretzel by a good blue belt. It's almost unimaginable how good these guys really are.

95% of this board don't know shit about MMA. This is simply a case of people going with the more familiar name. Anyone that follows MMA and has watched these two fight knows this is Jones' fight to lose. Of course shogun could win, but Jones is just too versatile and will be able to avoid any big punches from shogun, which is what I believe is the only way shogun can win this fight.

who has shogun fought that is even close to the well-rounded, versatile fighter Jones is? Liddell(striker), Machida(karate), Coleman(wrestler,one of the biggest scrubs in the game which he lost to in there first matchup), Griffin(the guy specializes in nothing, pretty much average in several areas). Point is, none of these guys is even close to the versatility Jones brings to the table. Jones's reach and unorthodox strikes allows him to stand up with anyone, but what's the point when he can just takedown Shogun whenever he wants. On the ground, he can submit you or throw elbows and put you to sleep.
I agree Jones hasn't fought anyone close to the caliber of fighters Shogun has in their careers, but look what Jones has done to everyone that faced him. He's made everyone look like minced meat. Nobody has even come close, not even a sniff at beating Jones.

It is better to be silent and thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
