Yeah, there is such a thing as cap space in the NBA that the new CBA wont change which makes it pretty much impossible for the Knicks to add a 3rd star. And They now have no more assets they could try and trade for one either so you can pretty much forget about that.

brewer will give them some defense at least. he's no too bad of a player. not too sure if i like the wolves trading him for curry and randolph. obviously theyre gonna try to develop randolph so we'll see what happens i guess

Eh, this deal is so loaded with players, it needs a year or two to see how it all shakes out. Melo and Amare, jesus f-in christ though.

nuggets did great on this deal. they got a core of young talent that they can either keep or trade. u never win when u trade away a superstar, but this is pretty good

I agree Nuggets got out real nice especially being that they are on the lesser Western Conference. Their rebuilding years are going to be smooth.

Now well finally have a winning team. With melo, billups, and amare i think well actually have a winning team. This was by far the best thing to happen to the knicks.

idk why everyone is making such a big deal about how many people the knicks gave up, look at how the team has been run the last couple of years, there is no player, save a superstar, that is likely to stay there more than a year or two at maximum.

Examples:chris duhon, nate robinson, tracy mcgrady, larry hughes, al harrington, sergio rodriguez...

Mabe not right now but we need to see how the new chemistry together is. Since melo is now on a team he wants to be on he may really put on a show. If the entire new line up including billups amare and melo have good chemistry as a team i think the knicks will be a good contender.

Ya Knicks did what they had to. Who really did they give up? A over rated Chandler..and Gallinai who will never be a good as Melo..Felton who would of been gone after next year anyway... and Mozgov need I say anything about him? Nuggets got nothing for Melo and NY should be happy, they will put the people around Melo and Amare in the next year or two and will be a force

Spurs-Duncan is getting really old and gas is about empty in the tank

The only real threat is Dallas and Oklahoma City, both teams the Nuggets are more than capable of beating if the met in the Western conference Finals down the road.

Knicks only really suffer at the center position if Chauncey Billups ends up playing to his full potential and hard every night. Raymond Felton hurt this Knicks offense by not being able to make wide open jumpers. Billups is the opposite and will only help Amare's low post game even more. And yes, Shawne Williams is a beast at hitting three point shots from the corner so he will take Gallo's place for good. Roger Mason is garbage and will still never see the light of day.

However if Earl Barron gets called up he can provide some quality minutes at center along with Ronnie Turiaf and Ronaldo Balkman then they should be off and running. Tony Douglas and Bill Walker aren't bad coming off the bench either. Overall the Knicks should win 46 games this year and take the Bulls to a seven game series in the opening first round.

They are already a better team than the overrated Alanta Hawks and can probably take the Celtics to a seven game series too.
