About 2 years ago I was running 12-15 miles a week... You're telling me you can run at 10 miles per hour for an hour????? 10 mph is no joke - that is damn close to a sprint. That is definitely a flat out run. And you can keep that up for an hour? Bullshit. Unless you're Kenyan.

As for me now... with a week to build up wind strength again, no sweat. But my knees would be screaming.

it really depends on the length of your legs. If I set the treadmill at 5-6, meh, I'm walking fast, maybe barely jogging, because I'm 6'4 and I have these long-ass legs. You realize your math is completely wrong...What he said was 6 miles per hour, very managable but still impressive. I couldn't do it.

A lot of people can do a 10 minute mile... that isn't my contention. The issue is you have to do that 6 times, consecutively.

Yeah what I mean was a 10 minute pace, which was 6.0 setting on the particular tread mill I was on. I wasn't trying to break any records or anything, I was just watching a game on the TV's, had it at 6.0 and wasn't really bothered when I hit 3 miles. Once I got to like mile 4 I just keep going, 5 I kept going, 6 I stopped because my boxers kept rubbing against my thighs and the tread mill automatically shut off at 60 min and then restarts and once I stopped I even for a second I just couldn't start back up.

I'm tall so 6.0 really isn't bad. Once you hit 7.0 or higher you have to focus more on breathing.

i dont know which one of you is completely wrong, but last time i checked, if u set a treadmill for 10mph and ran for 60 min, thats 10 miles.

I run for about half an hour on the treadmill at the gym when I do cardio. It would be very tough to run for a full 60 minutes for me and I am no where close to a couch potato! Whats the percentage of Americans that could run for half an hour without passing out? Probably less then 30% if you ask me.

Providing you don't have any medical problems/pain in the joints etc. etc., running for an hour is 75% mind, 25% physical

Anybody with the right mindset could run for an hour, even if they only did 1km. Once ran for 3 hours non-stop (18 miles) at 8am on a cold January morning having eaten nothing but a bowl of coco pops - all in the head...

It would be very tough to run for a full 60 minutes for me and I am no where close to a couch potato! Whats the percentage of Americans that could run for half an hour without passing out? Probably less then 30% if you ask me.
I would say less than 5%. I dont know anyone in my family or friends that could.
