2&1 = 2 holes up with 1 hole to play (therefore, match over)

6&5 = 6 holes up with 5 holes to play

22 holes = Match was tied after 18 holes, so they went to extra holes. Tied holes 19,20,21 and someone won the match on the 22nd hole.

1up = Match went to 18 holes and winner was 1up. This can happen two ways:

1) Tied going into 18th hole and then someone wins the 18th to win the match 1 up
2) Someone leading 1 up after 17 holes and they halve the 18th

If you watched the Woods match yesterday, he was 1 down going into 18. If he doesn't make birdie on 18, he loses the match 1 down. He made the putt and it went to extra holes where he lost on the first extra hole (19th hole).

Too much chalk with a lot of the favorites so it's going to be a dog-day afternoon. I can't see Crane or Fowler making as many birdies/eagles as they did today, that was just crazy. That has to be some letdown and I'll jump on two players that are playing just as well as underdogs. I'm playing against Watney and his record again on Friday. Watney didn't truly beat Westwood on Thursday, he merely escaped due to Westwood's horrible and untimely putting performance. I'll go with the classy attire of Ryan Moore and hope that tie/sweater can produce some birdies tomorrow. He's been playing very solid all year.

Ricky Fowler is very dangerous; there's no reason he can't win another match or two.

Fowler was awfully impressive in upsetting top-seed Phil Mickelson in the second round as the 22-year-old made five birdies, one eagle and a lone bogey on Thursday. Kuchar had the putter working, too, but the 1997 U.S. Amateur champ will need to eliminate the mistakes -- he's had six bogeys in 26 holes -- to advance.

Fowler was very impressive against Mickelson, but it's unreasonable to expect he duplicates that performance today. I don't expect him to fall off the face of the Earth, but Kuchar is steady and if he can eliminate those bogies, he'll be in at at the end
