I have the worse luck with this game. Play what I think is a good hand, and flop terrible cards. I throw away a bad hand, and it flops good cards. I am either out of rhythm or just have terrible luck. But its free, so what the hell.

You could have had iifold's seat in the 10 p.m. tourney since this is his second tourney of the day he has just been on auto-fold for the last 45 minutes.

Guys joining multiple tournaments a day is very unfair to those who want to play.

It sucks that people are taking advantage of SBR software's inability to stop them. Are they so stupid to think if they actually won they would get paid?

it's a game of skill... and luck. luck is a very important factor. i wouldn't fell too bad about losing, say QQ vs 79. it just happens certain percentage of the time.

Played one yesterday... these games are very loose. I guess with the blinds going up so quickly they almost have to be.

Keep in mind we very much want to have small tourneys with reasonable blinds so guys can have fun and a reasonable chance of winning. And we want them to last about an hour to the last table. We will work on accomplishing all those goals. We may possibly need to add another 75 man tourney...

I think there are plenty of seats. I never have a problem with getting in a tourney. I sign up for the next day, when getting ready for the current tourney. You snooze you lose.

John maybe have 5 tourneys with 60 seats in each tourney so you can start with 6 full tables. I like the smaller tourneys because the blinds are not a big factor at the end.

So I never really looked that closely... I mean I understand all the basic rules, but is there no grand-grand prize, so to speak? Rather, 4 different grand prizes for each week, for each of the Saturday Champions tourneys?

Hm, well having read it over I don't see any indication that I'm wrong. So I guess each week there are 20 people who get a chance to be one of 4 grand-prize winners.

Should be automatic. I've gotten mine in seconds. Maybe open the poker software again and then close it and see if you are credited.

Your connection right now is active. You have to close the lobby in order for your cashier amount to be transferred back to your forum balance. It will appear within a few minutes after being closed.

To explain more about how this works, if you win a points prize from a tournament then immediately go to Open Play tables, the credit will not be made until your session finishes and you close your lobby. Sometimes the transactions will get stuck after continued play, re-logging into the lobby then exiting should fix it.

I've played in 3 tourneys now and have finished 11th, 8th, and 10th. Lou, do you think maybe we could install a small consolation prize for "best average finish" amongst the guys who don't make the Saturday tournament? There's obviously a bit of luck (and somewhat of a crapshoot) once you get into those enormous blinds...

At least for next week?

Actually chachi, currently using a friends computer for poker, but I've read into Ubantu and it sounds brilliant, so I may try that too. But yeah, so glad I got into poker finally. And thanks nevertheless for the advice! I hope you're winning as well.
