In light of how much interest you've all shown in this Poker Series, and the great number of entries we have received, the decision has been made to add a fourth daily tournament, and to increase the Saturday Championship prizes by 6,750 points.

For tonight, the add-on tourney will be 10:15pm, but beginning tomorrow the fourth tourney will take place at 4:00pm ET. The # of players has been lowered to 75 per event to make for more quicker and more efficient tournaments. Beginning February 2nd, all the tourneys will be capped at that number.

We added some extra points to accommodate the 5 extra winners.

No one expected this kind of turn out so we have made some adjustments. We have added the 4th tourney to both accommodate everyone who wants to play and also to lower the number to 75. Thats a few less guys to beat but mainly we are targeting a range of about an hour to an hour and a half without messing with the blinds. We know guys have other things to do so we want to keep them fun and make them last a reasonable amount of time.

well, tonight was my second try.

first time: accidentally went all in on the first hand, bust
second time: was actually up several hundred, but kept calling because I had a straight. Lost about 2,000 when someone else had a flush.

TheAntidote claimed it was a "stupid call". I disagree.

The guys who know poker well should clean up, because most of the tournaments are people who hardly play, if at all, and are in it because of the free stuff being offered.

So yet again, a question about running the SBR Poker client

...

I won't even ask again about whether/when it will work on a Mac, since it seems like it might never happen, and regardless, I'm sure the vast majority of you are getting tired of that same question over and over.

So, my new question then... does the client work on any other operating systems? (i.e. Linux) Tech guys, if there are any around, (or anyone really,) I'm considering going ahead and downloading VMWare Fusion (supposedly better and cheaper than Parallels, and it looks nicer to me) just for this reason, but I don't want to pay the hundred-something dollars for Windows 7 or Windows XP. Linux is free... so I'd be willing to try to learn its basics in order to still play poker without spending a bunch of money...

Alternatively, if there is any other way to get SBR Poker without spending a bunch of money, please let me know...?
