I could only do 170. I'm not that into getting my chest huge.
I do squat 250 with no problem. Trying to go up 20 more pounds but what for?

I did two reps of 180 once like 2 weeks ago.

I want to hit 4 reps of 200 by my birthday in April.

                  usually 3 sets of 8 @ 225lbs.

But to be honest I rarely bench press. Usually just do pull ups, squats, cleans, deads, dips, firemans, rows, etc.

I had a go at ~800 lbs. in a full powerlifting meet but missed the lift, I made 725 that same day. However, I hit a 3rd attempt 940 squat at the same meet, prior to the 725 BP. I weighed 299 and used powerlifting gear. My best in the gym in a tee shirt was 575. That was some few years ago. Haven't Benched in many moons.

The post that indicated bw and strength are linear is false. There are formulas for comparison, e.g. Wilks formula.

Back when I played, I got up to benching 415. I tore up my shoulder and I haven't benched in years now, only dumb bells.

I haven't lifted in about a month. But that's normal for me because I party a lot this time of year. I normally get really serious with my lifting and running from february to september.

I stopped playing football and baseball when I was 19 so I stopped "maxing out"

My benching routine is pretty simple.

                                1st set is 15 reps of 115.
                                2nd set is 10 reps of 135
                                3rd set is 8 reps of 155
                                4th set is 5 reps of 175

After bench, i'll incline 135 x 8 four times. And i'll normally do 10 push ups between a set. Those who lift know thats called a super set.

                                  Bench 225

Topped out at 275, and tried 300 but never got it. Out of shape now though, and anything over 200 is a struggle.
