when you offer a wrong price and the customer should have known they were wrong, bets are voided, in some cases even after the event. in this case, the promotion was wrong and the customer could and should have known, the promotion is voided.
it's not pretty and says a lot about the company betfair has become, but it's not half as bad as sbr wants us to think.
i like sbr, but if anything like this had happened at the cris casino for example this would have been reported a lot differently.

wrong attitude JJ wrong. We can't accept scamming and still call a book a must out because of one reason or another. What good is there bet options if they will steal from you?

I very much disagree with your last statement. Reasonable management at CRIS or any sportsbook & casino would have listened to our presentation of the facts and made the players whole. In fact, similar events have happened at CRIS and not too long ago at 5Dimes. These places are run by humans and they make mistakes. The mark of honorable businesses is how they deal with those affected by their errors. In this case it would have been very simple to honor their deal and change it to make better business sense.

some guy in this forum screwed this promo for 30k in a few hours out of nothing!! that's how ridiculously flawed this promo was. who knows how many more there are like him. this is exactly like offering a favourite at odds of 18/1 instead of 1/18 and be expected by sbr to payout on this even though everyone with a sane mind could have smelt something was off ten miles away.
could you elaborate on these similar events at cris and 5dimes? were the promos you are refering to really this obviously wrong?

And then changing it so you can only use slots to meet rollover.

But if that wasn't enough, retroactively applying new made up rules to previous players who used the promotion, and trying to confiscate their money. You see, if these rules were in place from the beginning, players never would've been able to cash out in the first place.

I think just about every bookie site has a statement in their T&C saying something along the lines that they can make up their own minds about an issue and that is the end of the matter.

I still hold out hope that BF will be forced into to repaying customers.
Someone should be organising a class action on this matter.

BF is very useful for soccer but when compared to several other sports, most notably racing, and including tennis, golf, F1, AFL, NRL not quite a MUST, but overall they are most definitely a MUST for any serious punter.
