I was leaving a bar with some friends and we decided to go to this pizza joint after. I had the wings and a beer. A friend across from me had nothing. After I finished he started eating my nasty half eaten wings! I said "Hey man I will buy you some wings". The place was closing though so we all just left.

This same friend told me a story about how he waits outside a papa john's by his house. When they come out after closing to throw away the old pizza he waits by the dumpster. He tells them he is a bum and they give him the food. He is not a bum... has a apartment, car, and money.

I remember a time at a players lounge in Foxwoods that's hard to forget.

A guy leaves a $5 coin on the bar as a tip for the bartender. Woman comes in a couple of minutes later. Takes the coin away before being served. Ends up leaving a $2 tip in singles when leaving.

Keep in mind, this bar was mainly for slot players whose "theoretical loss" is at least $500/visit.

How about eating room service stuff leftovers outside of somebody's door ! I'm sure it has been done. A creative bum should never go hungry in America.

There's food here no matter how done and out you might be, nobody should lack food in the USA....yet !

I like talking with the bums that hang around the Fremont Experience area, I often give them drink tix and stuff.

I've seen people snatch bacon off room service trays left in the hall on a cruise...

Keep in mind, room service is FREE for all passengers. Just an option to tip or just go to the buffet if you don't want to wait.

                This would be pretty low....

Buy something at a convenience store for say $2.18

put out $2 and take 18 pennies from the leave a penny dish.

                  This is pretty low....

WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- A wheelchair ramp was stolen from a home on Washington Avenue on Wednesday morning, West Haven police said.

Police said the ramp, which allows residents to go into and out of the home, was stolen around 4:40 a.m.

Tracy Lamb said she can barley walk because of her multiple sclerosis, so she uses a motorized wheelchair to get around. However, early Wednesday morning she only made it as far as her steps.

"I came out and found the ramp gone. I actually cried because I've had it for five years and nobody ever touched it," Lamb said.

The ramp is described as being aluminum, around 10 feet long and 3 feet wide. It weighs around 70 pounds and is hinged in the middle.

"My chair toppled over this morning when I tried to bring it down the stairs," Lamb said.

Police said they were investigating whether it was stolen for scrap metal or for another purpose.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the theft to call West Haven police at 203-937-3900.

A lot of them are also probably those Hoarder types too.

A bit of balance is in order. Don't blow your 100 million like an retired NBA player. You don't need to drive a 76 Pinto , wear rags and live in a trailer with 15 cats, either.

One night I took my wife there (yes, she is willing to be seen with me in public), and our waiter was also serving a table next to ours. The people at the other table were obnoxious, rude, loud mouthed, pushy, and ran the waiter ragged with nonsense. Their ticket was $80. They left a $1 tip. these a-holes made it a point to point out that they were white and the waiter was black. Now, given how demanding these a-holes were, the waiter did an excellent job serving them, I would have poured cooking grease on the mo fos and set them on fire. The waiter was upset, no so much because of the $1 tip but because the red necks made a point to bring up race.

The bill for my wife and I was something like $25. We left a 20% tip of both bills, ours and the table next to ours, $25. My wife said "not all white people are crackers, I mean my husband is, but not all of us". The waiter laughed and laughed. I didn't see the humor in it myself. I really hate white people sometimes (I'm white).

so he travels with dog food, just in case ? Does he travel with a dog in hotels ? Does he own a dog ?

Why not bring yourself a can of something more palatable ? Maybe some tuna and crackers or canned chicken or something.

when I was a maintenance man at Hollywood Dog track there was this fat dude named Wayne

He was always broke and lived in a crummy ole apt with his cat..

He would go to McDonalds at lunch-Grab like 20 packets of Ketchup-Add a cup of hot water to it and stir the shit out of it-He claims it made one hell of a tomato soup and was a free nourishing meal
LOL gotta love Hollywood FLorida =)

I'll even offer to buy him a pack when we are headed to a bar, just so he doesn't embarass me.. He'll get all the shorts out of the ashtray & roll them between his fingers at the filter to get the remaining tobacco to fall out into a lil tin container he carries around in his pocket.. All my other friends, (including myself) always give him a lot of sh*t for this, but it doesn't bother him..

My grandfather owns a small apartment complex and rakes 60-70k after taxes and expenses a year. Despite which, he:
                                                    * Claims to regularly pick change off the street. The guy's 84 and slightly obese.
                                                    * Gets excited about saving as little as a dollar on a sale.
                                                    * Won't pay someone to clean an apartment after someone's moved out, possibly losing thousands of USD he could have made in a year through someone taking the apartment earlier, in most instances.

This next one was going to be a bullet, but it's a story in itself. One time, he lets one of his sons, who runs some material hauling business, dump a pile of sand against the building for the purpose of laying out traction when it snows. The problems with this: we're on Long Island where it snows a couple feet over an entire winter and nothing more than shoveling is needed after light snows, sand is so cheap to buy in bags that a couple dollars worth is all that's necessary for a bad winter, sand stays after snow melts and sticks to shoes and shit so I try to use salt or nothing most of the time, and the sand pile would erode over time anyway.

He has me move the sand against a neighbor's fence shortly after. It ends up killing a couple of the fence-bordering pine trees in the neighbor's yard, leading to my grandfather having to cough up over $1k to replace them. He has me move the sand back again without paying me or any special gratitude, despite that it was his ****-up and I recommended against it beforehand. At least after that, he learned his lesson and decided against screwing any more with trying to store a large gift of sand that's "dirt cheap" to begin with.

Just kidding! He later has what wasn't eroded moved into a dumpster that had a cracked bottom and had to be replaced, where it's now much harder to take out, considering the top is upper chest to head level. He at least didn't have the balls to ask me to do all that for nothing after I tried arguing him out of keeping the dumpster. He pays someone to paint it up and put some shit in to seal the bottom, probably costing about the same as hauling the dumpster away.

I used to be pretty cheap myself, still being so to an extent. Some things I've done:
                                                      * Bumming rides to save a few dollars on gas and accrued repair expenses.
                                                      * Putting rinsed dirty dishes along with paper and Styrofoam cups into the freezer to reuse later, letting me not have to wash or throw away things as often.
                                                      * Spent hours Internet-searching to save a few dollars on something, done several times.
